Dude! I said don't look at the prices! :haha:
doing that will only make you sad and realize they are a bit over priced

I think whoever buys me a set of gauges first wins my vote. :haha: J/K I really don't know what to do. I like the fact that they have a tach. I really don't want a Sunpro tach hose clamped to my steering column. :haha:

How about something like this? I think that would look great in your 59 dash, if they make one that fits.

I guess I should have done more research almost 2 years ago when I was getting my gauges together. At the time I wanted the guages all original for the look of factory. Most won't even know they don't belong in the truck unless they know these trucks. But it would be nice to have a tach and get rid of the idiot lights. Dennis that is a nice looking gauge. I've gotta think about this some more. I spent quit a bit of cash getting my gauges right. The only one I didn't do anything with was the clock. Even new back in the day didn't work good. At least most of the ones I remember didn't.

I went to byunspeed.com and typed in this PN AM1295 for more info. Do you know what style gauge this is? They have a bunch of different styles. EDIT=I found it on ebay for $429 BIN. It sure is purdy. ;)

That's a great idea. I'll check ebay.

This pic is of the Auto Meter Gauge ATM1295 for $429 on ebay that Dennis mentioned earlier.

Finaly got around to ordering the Hedman 69646 headers. Was going to get a fuel sending unit, but can't right now. Due to the fact I don't know which gauge I will be using. More than likely it will remain the way it is now. I will do a little more thinking on the gauge situation. I'm good at that.

That gauge is slick. Just go ahead and get one, it's only money.:waah:

Glad you finally pulled the trigger on the headers.:metal:

I thought I did..............I called rigidsteel.com this afternoon since I didn't get a email confirmation of the order. The headers have been $389.95 since I found them over a year ago. I was concerned that it was a old price since everything else is going up. I was right. They won't honor that price. I could have argued with her, but what would that accomplish? I did voice my opinion about the price has been that way for over a year. So i'm kind of ticked. Now it's more searching for a good deal. Anybody got any coupon codes for jegs, summitt or any place else that might have them?

Man, I would argue for a long time if I ordered something at a price they have listed...threaten BBB, etc...I HATE when businesses pull that sort of stuff. If they make a mistake on pricing they should honor it. Unless it's a typo that they quickly fix or a misprint of a flyer that they immediately print a disclaimer about....But something that's been out there for a year is their price and they need to own it.

Yeah I agree, the more I think about it the more I want to call them back. I've been so busy at work I didn't want to spend 30 minutes on the phone. ;) I just rechecked the website and it's still at $389. I know they might have to wait for the web guy to fix it.......but still. I don't know how to save a copy of their check out page. This is the text version.

Alan,

Hold the Alt button down and hit print screen. It won't look like it does anything. Open up a Microsoft Word blank document, (or another document program) and click on edit on the top of the screen. Click on paste. That should put an image of the web page on the document. Then just save it.

Edit: I just went to their website and have the page saved. If you want to PM me your e-mail address, I can send it to you. I saved it showing the date and time in the image also.

Thanks Jason, it worked. Is there a way to include that capture in an email in the form of a pic?

Shannon came thru for me in a search for another set of headers. He found them at Autopartsdealer.com for $432.57 with free shipping. I should be ordering them tonight. ;) Thanks again Shannon.

Been working on my 95 GMC this past weekend. The link is in my signature.

Same way Alan. Instead of pasting it into a word document, open up a blank page in Paint, then paste it into that, save as a .jpg file. Then you can insert it or attach it to an e-mail.

Yes, there are shorties. A little shorter than I want, but as long as they fit I'll be happy. Hedman 69646 for use with the CPP engine perches.

The shop is per code, the temporary structure does not require codes to the best of my knowledge. ;)

Re: Project Vitamin C-10

Here is the style collectors they have.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC03600.jpg

Passenger side needs some help. It shouldn't be too bad.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC03602.jpg

Drivers side fit great.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC03604.jpg

The altenator bracket needed some trimming.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC03605.jpg

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC03606.jpg

You can't see it in the pic, but the bracket does have a 90* bend running up to the altenator so the bracket does have some strenght to it.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC03608.jpg

The drivers side header is completely installed. I hope. ;)

Thanks Troy

Getting back after it. Trying to get some small things rounded up that need paint. I never did find my other vent window frame that I thought I painted. I tore apart another one and blasted it. Still need to sand arounf the chrome strip.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...d/DSC03611.jpg

Finally got around to trimming the front shroud so I could put my upper radiator hold downs in. Still need to drill and install a nutsert.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...r/DSC03612.jpg

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...r/DSC03613.jpg

Stripped the front sheet metal off so I could access the header on the left side without scratching the inner fender. Plus now I can button up the engine a little easier.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...b/DSC03615.jpg

Going thru the seals for the fender I found this seal and not exactly sure where it goes. I think it goes along the bottom of the inner fender. I've got the ones where the fender bolts to the inner. I also have the one between the inner fender and the radiator support. I still need the one between the inner fender and the cab. It wasn't in the kit.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSC03614.jpg

Shannon was over working on his cab and had the camera and caught me.

Seems like the truckandcarshop has the wrong pic, or is just me? I need what is in the bottom pic, the cab to fender seal. I have what is in the top pic. It came with the other seals for the fender that I listed in the previous post. The pics must be reversed. Anybody have an extra speedo cable seal at the firewall? If so let me know. The truck shop only offers it in a kit.

No I haven't figured it out yet. I thought about using a coat hanger and form it to the shape and length I think it would need. Also measure the radiator and H2O pump outlet and take that to the parts house with a pic on my phone and do some comparing. Please share if you find one. It will be a while before I get back to that point. The front end will be stripped off mine for a while. BTW thanks. :metal:
