Old Ed gets a hankering to start collecting guitars. He spends their life savings on his "investments". Edie finally gets fed up, and one night she starts pulling guitars off the wall and beating Ed with them, beating him nearly to death. The police arrive and cart her off to jail.

The next morning Edie appears before the judge. He looks down at her sternly and asks, "First offender?"

Edie replies, "No, your honor. First a Martin, then a Gibson, and then a Fender."

Sick joke. I went to FEDEX to get an estimate to pack and ship an item. Wednesday it was ~$210. I go to ship it today and now it's ~$475?! Crazy! :(

I'm flat out disgusted with that. I looked at some other sites and am seeing prices in the $700+ range, and I have to box it! I could fly with the part and deliver it for less money. It would only cost me $100 in gas to drive there and back. :crazy: I get that people need to make a living, but it shouldn't come off one person's back. SMH

A couple of years ago I sold a small part to a fella and 'assumed' it would cost maybe 10-12 $ to ship it. It weighed maybe a pound. Turned out it was $36 to ship by UPS or Fedex one, I forget now. I blew it on that one. BIG TIME! I sold the part for like $35 or so. Lady told me the box rate was due to size more than weight. I could have cut that box down a good bit but the part was in the same box it was shipped to me in from the vendor, so it didn't dawn on me I could save by cutting the box down. Once burned, once learned.
