I have the passenger side speaker installed. What a pain! Stretching the carpet was a JOB!!! Will work on the driver side this evening.

Looks good! How did you get the carpet into that form? Is it two pieces?

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)
Front speakers look good. Which kick panels are those and what else did you have to do to them?

Drivers side is done. Just need to do some tidying up and put everything back together.

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)
Those kick panels came out really nice. What kind of adhesive did you use?

All the sound system install is taken care of. I am currently working on putting everything back together. This has taken longer than it should have because I've taken the time to clean up some of the wiring that I had previously done in a not so clean manner,. I also installed an electric trailer brake controller and test fitted my hidden hitch receiver, :metal:.

I go the all the stereo installed and interior back together, so I decided to take the Burb out for a ride and snapped some pictures.

For an Aviator you sure built one hell of a fine ground-pounder!
Outstanding! |
Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)
Great looking Burb.
What bracket did you use for the middle buckets? I tried to find a good picture but no joy. Thanks. |
Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)
Sorry for the bounce back - but I have a quick question on something you posted in another thread regarding the ceiling bows.
"UPDATE: I have all my panels cut and installed. The fit is good and the satin white is similar to the factory original. I have been trying to find some nice plastic headliner bows, but that is starting to seem like an impossible task. So I got in contact with a company about manufacturing some new ones. I sent them a couple of pieces to use as samples. I think this will probably happen. They won't be chrome like the originals, but they will be paintable. In the meantime, I took the 3 nicest bows that I have and color matched them to the headliner material. This will have to do for right now." Did you ever get those custom made bows? |
