Thank you, here in Stockholm there are around 12 c10s 60-66 (that i know of) but i guess there's a couple more. Here in Sweden we are pretty big on the american car front, just here in our little neighborhood in the north of Stockholm we have a meet every thursday with around 40 cars and friday cruising in central Stockholm! Lots of fun! The plans for the winter is to bag it in the rear atleast and do some fixin of some dents and som minor things. The car was imported 2008 from Texas and have almost no rust at all and it's got a 350 engine with a 350 tranny. :metal:

Hagelin,

Are these Truck any different in apperance or mechanically other than the steering?
I know the climate is a little different in Europe. My dads 1969 AMC Rambler American was built in Canada and had extra undercoating under it.
I bet parts are hard to find there.

Thanks,

How do you mean different with the steering? No they aren't any different here. The climate is sure different here but hardly anyone uses the cars other then from spring to autumn and most people dont let their cars stand out in the rain. I have actually found a 64 parts car not far from here and a rustfree cab south in Sweden, but yeah your gonna' have to import some things now and then. :)

Ok. I didn't know if these trucks were made for the right hand drive.
So I guess these truck were just shipped there. Cool.
Didn't know the history about that. Were any of these trucks converted over?
I seen a fella on here with a right hand steering. Can't remember where he was from though.

We drive exactly the same way you do in usa, so the steering is right for us :)

Your truck is awesome, the original paint and its worn / aged look is perfect!

Looks like the hood and cowl had black primer, yet the roof and bed had red oxide?

yeah the front fenders are black primer as well not sure why that would be like that but my brothjer has a similar truck and his is also black primer as well on the front end only. This must have been the way they did things back then.

Purchased a month ago. 327 with 4 on the floor. BTW its a 64' C20 longbed, so I picked up suspension parts from a 73 c10, including upper and lower control arms, 5 lug discs, spindles, proportion valve and master cylinder. I'm assuming I need the cross member also to make it all work. Now in need of a new rear end and get ride of this crazy 4.something gear ratio.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like a fun truck. How do you like the under dash A/C. Does it work well, or interfere with your legs? Also, I do like it better without the giant steer horns on the roof!

Which wheels are you running there? AR Boyd's, TTD's? 5 x 120.7 pattern or what? That's the rim I want but trouble with the pattern on the AR 17 x 10.5's.

I'm obviously in the thread already, and my truck hasn't gotten any better looking, but I took a couple of pictures at a car show I was at, so instead of wasting them, I'm sharing them in here. FWIW.

Here's the powerful engine.

And this old building was the same color (except it has paint), so I stopped on the way home and grabbed a picture with it. Forgot to shut off the turn signal, too.

Here is a truck I saw today for sale at Bill's Truck Shop in Coutrice Ontario. It is from California, the sheet metal is near mint. the drive line I was told is toast. as is much of the interior. It has a Department of Defense decal on the windshield.

Thanks for the input. If I ever go back to A/C that's the type I want to install, and wanted to know if clearance was a problem. Appreciate the feedback.

I love those 63 passenger car hupcaps on your truck. Back in the 60's I added them to the chrome reverse rims on my 57 Chevy. They look right at home on your truck.

Per the attached link the square grille letters are unique to 1966 only. Details are about half way down the page:

Thanks! Yeah. I think they've probably been on that truck since it was pretty new. It lived its whole life in the small town of Harvard, Nebraska before I got it, and they were just as nasty as the rest of the truck. The picture shows them during the de-crusting process. My guess it that they didn't want the painted hubcaps, and these were in the parts department along with the stupid wraparound step bumper it had, so they spruced it up. Maybe not, but I think it's a good story, anyway.
