Three is nothing wrong with a seventeen day celebration for your birthday if it's with friends .

Re: Donz '65 SWB Stepper Budget Build...

A little bit of shop time today...:mm:

Rian sent me a Boddington's Beer Tap handle a while back that was originally slated to go on a Rat Rod project. The Rat Rod is gone, so today the tap handle became a shift knob for the 65 or my 90 model… it now resides in the 90 but will swap over to the 65 easy enough…

On to the pictures…:uhmk:
Sent Rian these pics, and after getting this one, he knew what was happening...;)

I first drilled out the aluminum inner piece then tapped some 1/2 x 20 threads to match the top of the shift handle…

Threads cut…

Shift Knob in place...:chevy:

Awesome brotha! Now you need a Jack Daniels whiskey bottle to serve as a overflow coolant tank. LOL! :metal:

Don, love it! looks great:metal: although I might suggest a single malt overflow bottle, it goes much better with boddingtons than Jack D :lol:

Can't do the JD bottle… Long story that I won't go into, but in the late 80's Bourbon and I were very close for 3 months...:sumo: Now I absolutely despise the smell, let alone the taste… A glass of single malt Scotch and a good cigar is my vice...:metal:

Or a can of Sweetheart lager.

Alternately, ask Don to show you the Piston head lager cans I took him.

That thing just wouldn't have been right without the matching patina tailgate. Glad you got to keep it! Look forward to seeing what you do with this one. :chevy:
