Thanks for the effort guys.:metal:

Well I discovered that the headers I bought at the Super chevy show are not Hedmans. I believe they are an Ebay specials. They had info in the box that they were Hedmans. I had the old switch-a-roo pulled on me. I looked at their pic on Hedmans website and look nothing like the ones I have. Mine doesn't even have a metal tag on them saying Hedman like Hedmans do. I guess I got screwed. :sumo: I'm glad that they haven't sold yet, cause I don't want someone else getting screwed. I was hoping to recoup my money so I could apply it to headers that would fit. Here is a LINKY to what I thought I had. They look like they might even fit, but that is what I thought about the junk I bought. All of this added to my mental frustration.

The top pic is the actual Hedman header and the 2nd pic is the junk I have. You can see the metal tag on the left header on the Hedmans.

Sorry to hear about that too Alan. I saw another truck that had headers like the one you have and they fit nice. I'll try to find the truck again and let you know what year it is. I too also went with the HOOKERS.

 Yeah we had this discussion about headers a few months back in this thread. I'll have to scroll back thru it when it time to get another set.

Thanks David.

For those that don't know I'm cleaning out most of my extra stuff. I can't stand this crap cluttering up the place. Go to the link in my signature. I'm not really interested in shipping but if it is manageable and you pay the shipping I'll send it out. I don't want to ship anything like a grill etc. A couple pieces are spoken for. The frame, engine, cab and blue doors are not free.

Not much to share as far as progress, but here is a tip. I used tape since the paint is new to make alignment marks so I can referrence where I started. Also with the tape if you need to erase your line for what ever reason just pull it up and move it.

Yeah, don't have much to worry about where I'm at. It's real bad about 10 miles to the south of me.

Working on the 55 a little to see if I can get it going. Sold a few things on ebay to get up some cash, now the problem is what do I get. I think the inner repair panels for the bed and front bed panel. Also thinking about getting SS brake lines so I can finish up the brakes. It took about a month off and on of selling stuff to come up with $400 just to go blow it in a view minutes.:sumo:

This rolled thru my work a couple days ago.

Alan I bought my ss brake lines from Inline Tube. They fit perfect and did not have to modify anything.

No, I bought these instead since Mar-K had a 10% off sale.

Unless you were going for the SS look you may want to check out the cunifer stuff, I used it and loved it. Just an FYI.

I'd like to run SS, but if I have to do any double flares I'm in trouble.

I'm trying to do a double flare on a steel line and here is the outcome, but first I ran a piece of hard line on the 55 from the fuel pump to carb and did pretty good making it go where I wanted. I'm practicing on the 55 before I cut loose on the 65.

Looks like I have some more practicing to do. I deburred the inside and chamfered the inside and outside. This was my second attempt. Maybe 3rd times a charm. The flare on the left is store bought if you couldn't tell. :haha:
