They rolled my truck out of the shop the other day and sent me some pic's of my tires and wheels, and the dash. I notice the two rear tires are not rotated in the same direction, but they sure look good. 16" Western 5 slots with 33 Goodyear MTR's.
Disc brakes front and rear. |
Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
NOthing looks better than polished slots on a 4wd!
|
Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
I'd have to agree.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Nice MTR's and glad to see the slots, they need to make a comeback, good choice. Looks really good, can't wait to see it when done.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Nice big block 67, kind of like the faded paint.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
That is a sweet looking GMC. I like the look as well. The paint makes the molding look real sharp.

I'm not familiar, is the emblem on the fender a factory 67 GMC piece? It adds something interesting to the look of the truck. |

Yup, super rare. My 67 GMC had that exact trim, was rated over 1/2 ton and had leaf springs. Like an idiot I took off the trim when I built it leaning toward later model style cues, like the mirrors. I later found out I'd discarded some of the most rare features of the truck.
Got the truck originally in town sitting under a tree for 15 years for only $600.00 with a six under the hood and another one laying in the bed (both bad) looked better when I was done with it. |
Here is mine so far

Well, I have searched and searched, I cannot seem to find info on the "custom" logo on the side of the GMC. I see lots of pictures, no info. I will keep digging! I keep hope that somebody will set me straight.
Thanks again for all the comments. |

Its had two heart transplants but running the original transfer case and transmission. At present it has 535,000.0 miles on it, its good for another 500,000. Told the wife when I die, put me in the cab, Reba on the tape deck and lower us into the hole. |

These were taken off of slides I have, and for some reason I always get them backward, sorry about that. That old truck has served me well, its a member of the family. Old Yella is showing its age, with the paint wearing thin and a few battle scars, but it has never let me down.......
