Hmmmmmmm...??

Would it make you and the rest here happy to see proof of a better looking mechanic than you Don ??

She is nice.

Dennis has planted the first trees.

Loads more to get added...... maybe I need to get over there and complete the clearing up.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psx1beo27o.jpg

When done, this will be a great new line hedge.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pspk1nc38j.jpg

Not as easy to see, but a new porch added to the front of the shop.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pspllbs4tx.jpg

From one day to the next.

Today it is snowing, and Dennis is not impressed......

And it continues to snow.

Perfect for a mushy, I mean White Christmas

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psdpcxqyr0.jpg

Christmas greetings from Arkansas as well, from Ta2Don and JoJo.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psi3x9jqfo.jpg

Random flashback....

It was filled with ber and cider, then rolled off the side side stand

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pszkpulvkr.jpg

Anyway, Christmas is a bit ****e for me.

Headed out to Rochester in the hope to have a random conversation with anyone....

Had a youngster say "Cool car mate" in the car park, made me smile.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psmeop6c4n.jpg

Went and god some chips, they were good.....

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pssabewwzp.jpg

Followed by a Costa coffee and watching people, then homeward, via Rochester Castle.

The plan had been to go up to the castle to take a nice photo to finish a great year with Prozac......

Could not get in.......

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps94mttupb.jpg

Merry Christmas to all of you and your loved ones.

I trust you get what you need and some of what you want from Santa.

Thank you for the friendships, and support on the forums and on my travels this year.

It has been a blast !!!

In the mean time, I will endeavour to become a pirate tonight.

That's what Rum does to you.

Thank you very much.

Yes, they will be better, if not different.

Trust you had a good Christmas as well.

Re: Grizz's Redneck Express 1966 Chevy Short Fleetside RESTO-GO!

Funny how things turn out.

I had planned to spend Christmas Day indoors with the cats, a bottle of rum and some crackers and cheese, followed by more of the same.

My very good friends Kevin and Theresa had their kids mostly scattered across the UK and Ireland, due to growing up and various relationships.

So I got invited to Christmas dinner/lunch to us civilised people as they needed a clown at the table.

Kevin is a very capable for,al cook, so the food was awesome, the company even better, and I eventually went here me for 9pm as I was tired as Insomnia does not respect holidays.

While they were at it, I also got a load of very well thought out gifts from Kevin and Theresa..... massive thanks there too.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psd6rkehv1.jpg

Theresa's mum and dad and her one son with his lady friend.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psrwfheijt.jpg

I had no plans for Boxing Day but this was going to keep me busy.

Can you tell what it is yet?

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psbo1ikkvr.jpg

Then at 11.30 I got a call from a friend, was I going to be in today, was my kettle full, did I have biccies.....??

PS. Could she bring her dogs??

Yes of course, to all the above.

The cats would have to just deal with it, and the planned activity would have to wait for another day.

This was the point at which she called, so I decided to shut shop, clean the house and have a shower......

Certainly a better investment in Boxing Day

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psywe4uzix.jpg

My visitors.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psmxf5vwvs.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjn7ae4dx.jpg

Of course the lady had not been in my house before, so she and the dogs did get the grand tour, and when we got upstairs, the cats reacted as they should, first standing their ground, then flying down stairs, and out the back door, with the dogs giving chase.

Dukey the Ginger Whinger came back indoors from the rain, two hours after the guests had left and Harley was in 45 minutes after they left, she is a lot less fussed with stuff like dogs, but the Ginger is a bit more highly strung and gets spooked easily.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps1wc3mrsk.jpg

I also made them a fire to make up for their distress and inconvenience, which both seemed to enjoy a whole lot.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjerbcnvt.jpg

Lastly, despite being a Grinch about Christmas, my visitor also brought me a Christmas tree that I can plant in the garden when the weather gets better.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjmf3ksgz.jpg

Later today, I will carry on with the block I started on yesterday.

Hope you all got what you needed and some of what you wanted for Christmas

Time for a cuppa tea now.

Rian, I had a excellent Christmas but then I picked out and Bought my OWN gifts from my Wife. You can't go wrong if you do that! I bought a set of 2 1/2 inch dropped spindles and a 12 inch disc brake kit for the 64. Actually I had more fun watching my Grand Kids open their presents plus playing games with them. Here a Toast to The New Year - May Every New Day be Better Than The Last!

Cold and rain never stopped me before, and rain itself won't stop me, but the cold gets into my bones badly these days.
To the point where it hurts a lot.

Thanks for the reply Ray.

Own gifts are the way to go.

And yes, agreed on a good new year.

That would be rather special to experience again.

Donald, I suspect we will chat on FaceTime still before or by new year.

Part one of he non truck related update coming up.

You and I should become pirates together.

Bah Humbug and all that.

I had a lovely Christmas dinner with friends and then planned on keeping myself busy for Boxing Day.

Got this far..... then got a phone call from a friend that she wanted to visit with her two dogs, would that be OK?

Of course it was.

So this is pretty much where it ended on Day one.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psywe4uzix.jpg

Few pics to speak for themselves.

As I started to get my flow.

Had to incorporate the broken off corner.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps9eulvges.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pstunrccjb.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psvw3ln6pa.jpg

By now the block was coming to life.

This was the plan.

Getting it into shape would be another job.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps5nkslq8v.jpg

Next up a lovely visit and doggy time.

Next morning a lazy start, then down to the garage, which showed 2'C inside.

Cut the basics.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pspilbgisa.jpg

Shaped.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psmc61tv3a.jpg

Primary tool.

Remember this stuff can be fragile.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psbl171vb2.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pskrbtg1uf.jpg

All the outlines done.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psfxet7hza.jpg

Amazingly, this took quite a few hours.

Called it a day early.

Re: Grizz's Redneck Express 1966 Chevy Short Fleetside RESTO-GO!

Woke up to this, this morning.

So part two of the carving.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pspfmlnwdc.jpg

It was -2'C or 28'F outside, despite this lovely sunrise as seen from my cozy bed.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psyn9dpctm.jpg

So I started with my awl, and also half of a pair of secateurs that lives in the garage.
Makes a great cutting tool.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps4xwoeqje.jpg

Slow but sure progress.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psi1acl26z.jpg

Of course I had completely cleaned the house on Tuesday morning.

Today I noticed that it would be a repeat job.

Thankfully I live alone and pay the mortgage.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pstfy3tmvg.jpg

Eventually by just after 13.00 the Tiki head was completed.

Funny how these things shape themselves..... no matter how hard you try.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psvmtw8afn.jpg

Decided to try it on a plinth.

And really liked it.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps5logu6o2.jpg

So designed a Tiki Surfboard plinth whith pineapple, and some palm fronds down the sides.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psiozzlglo.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psqdbzbjc9.jpg

Completed.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjmpqdtea.jpg

Happy.

Next up some SHAG style Skulls I think.

Look them up.

Grizz1963 12-29-2017 04:14 PM

Re: Grizz's Redneck Express 1966 Chevy Short Fleetside RESTO-GO!

Friday.

Last one of 2017.

Had a date with a lady, but this was the weather in the morning......

Needless to say, not much use for going to the beach, unless you are testing g umbrellas or rain coats.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psyn2a3ama.jpg

So we cancelled our "date" and I contacted Neil "MyGasser" about some plastic pallets he had found for Craig my mate, and decided that today would be a good day to run Prozac down to Whitstable where he works.

In an unusual move, I stopped at the gas station and filled up, one forgets to fill as these things are relatively light on fuel.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psnnoaikcm.jpg

Got to Whitstable and had a nice chat with Neil, then loaded the pallets, and a large section of show display carpet he had laying around, good for my garage, under the truck.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psiiz4nekx.jpg

One of the jobs he does is to test every Mig Welder they sell before it goes out to customers, you are talking in excess of 750 and the last week it's been about 15 machines.

Obviously, testing welders can get a bit boring, so a bit of boredom relief creeps in......

Includes a dragon breaking through the base, a butterfly, sun, monster worm

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pscuafbc8p.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pscn2vabsc.jpg

And of course a bondage mermaid......

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psgi7qxmiw.jpg

While I was there, I also got these bits.

Available for anyone who needs them at cost of postage and packing.

Couple of UJ's for steering column and a quick release base for a steering wheel.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psaw74gs4p.jpg

Got home and unpacked the Little Van that Can.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psywqcriry.jpg

Chuffed as always, this van is certainly Prozac for the Soul.

Miles of smiles.

Grizz1963 12-29-2017 06:12 PM

Re: Grizz's Redneck Express 1966 Chevy Short Fleetside RESTO-GO!

Remember my Road Trip in September?

http://forum.retro-rides.org/thread/...-small-updates

Well, this is a road trip that seems to keep on giving and giving and GIVING AND GIVING........

Today when I got back from Whitstable in Prozac, there was a letter in my mailbox.

Anyway........

Remember this entry when the Hemi Challenger broke down, due to a melted wiring loom, which turned out to be a factory recall job after Dennis spending a small fortune to get it bypassed in Jonesboro in order to get me mobile so I could get back to Rogers party and his birthday party??

Challenger breaking down in the middle of nowhere, in Banjo country....

So I try various ways to start the Hemi Challenger, but no go.

So I pull out my UK based mobile phone that will let me make a call at £1.10/min to call Dennis......

No reception.

So took some pics of the car, the address etc and started to walk toward the next home down Hiway 25 Arkansas.

Number 3001 has an old guy working in his yard, next to a trailer and 70's Big Block Suburban.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psqkyis2cq.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pslzycotvj.jpg

So I look for guns and approach, explaining my situation.

He pulls out his mobile phone and says "You can use my phone" while he carries on trying to remove a tyre from a rim with some wholly inadequate tools. But he does succeed.

Long story short, Dennis refers me to Dodge recovery service, they take my exact details and say it should take an hour (I am 29 miles from one small dealer at Wallnut Ridge and about 45 miles from the bigger dealer at Jonesboro)
I get a text a while later to confirm it will be just over two hours for them to get there.
So Walk back to the car to check if it will start again, but also just to move it more on driveway.
Then I hear RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.........!!!

Look back and see this.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pscmqqo6kf.jpg

Old guy in his EZ-GO Golf kart coming to pick me up and run me to the car.

Thank you Charles.

No luck there in the end.

We do look at this truck, found out later it was bought for the house owners son, but he lost interest fast and now has a jacked up V6 Toyota pickup

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psyn8e3xyj.jpg

We go back to the old guys home, try to get a tyre onto the rim, unsuccessfully.
More chat, glass of water and local history.
Help him adjust golf kart throttle cable.
And then I go back to the car to await recovery service.
By 3.30 pm still no recovery, so I walk back to the house and ask for phone again......
at 4.03 a missed call, as I cannot raise the service......
Call back and it is the Recovery service owner to say they were given the wrong details and despatched to the wrong address

So I walk back to the car and at the same time my friend Steve from Jonesboro where I was headed arrives in his Toyota truck, so we chat while waiting for the service guys, who eventually get there after 5pm.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psciqou6rm.jpg

Car loaded, we head to Jonesboro, which is where Steve lives, the recovery service is based even though Dodge will only recover to the nearest address etc...... the owner Glenn says he will take the car to Jonesboro with us following in Steves truck.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pszueiz8r2.jpg

Once we got there, signed off the car, to be investigated on Thursday.....

And Steve and I head home via a Pizza place with cold beers and great service.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjjkafqut.jpg

Then home to see Lulu the dog and his wife.

Lulu loves me, and I love her gentle nature.

Knowing we need to be back at the dealers 30 minutes away by 07.30 the next morning, we turn in early-ish.

Thursday was going to turn into a pile of steaming poop.

SO TODAY WHEN I GET IN THERE IS THIS ENVELOPE IN THE POST.

I look at the return address and the memories come rushing back.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psobmcakin.jpg

Take a moment to read this message from Charles, who had helped me when I broke down.

I had sent him and his wife Onida a nice Thank You card after I got back to Dennis and it must have impressed them that I did not take their help for granted.
They actually made the effort to find out what my address in the UK is.

Re: Grizz's Redneck Express 1966 Chevy Short Fleetside RESTO-GO!

More random stuff.

Ended up that I did 100's of miles in Prozac over the festive season, fetching stuff, visiting people and going shopping etc.

This little van consinue to amaze.

Parked next to a newer face.ifted panel version on Chatham town centre.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psdilplj8x.jpg

As you may remember, I spent Christmas with Kevin and his family.

Old years a few of us went there again, for a roast dinner as only he can do, and some drinks......

Friends Dave and Helen joined us as well and they brought me one more Christmas prezzie.

It blew my little mind.

Personalised.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psox925zdd.jpg

In other news, it seems I have a real lodger again (deposit and first month paid, plus all his stuff moved in) and the cool thing is that he is into scooters, cars, music and his day job...... super cool I think, is with Bobcat as a regional representative.

He seems to like the cats and both Dukey last night, and Harley every time he has been here, went straight to him.
Trust me, they are selective who they spend time with.

Meet Dave.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psdm7xuj4e.jpg

Dave drives an Isuzu D-Max double cab, so unlike previous lodgers in Corsa, Golf etc sized cars, this is a bit larger.

Bush out front needed a bit of a trim.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps5okskdsb.jpg

Randomly associated, is the C10 front and rear screen glass...

Been in the spare room the last two years, but I needed to clear it for Dave, so needed to make a safe space on top of the wardrobe in my room.

This made me realise that 2018 has to be the year of the Redneck Express rising from being a pile of parts to being a thundering Antisocial Thug again.

1.6 meter wide screen and 480mm high.

It's a large truck.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psbg8sby14.jpg

Yesterday Mickey and I went to fetch my bike after the fuel pump and rear flange had been replaced under warranty by Katie.
Still impresses me that BMW will repair, free of charge a 2006 model bike.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjlylhel7.jpg

And so the sun sets on my vacation.

Monday it's back to it all, with all guns playing.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pshku6qnww.jpg

Here's to an awesome 2018 for all of us.

Life is still good.

Re: Grizz's Redneck Express 1966 Chevy Short Fleetside RESTO-GO!

Time flies.

Facebook dropped this on my daily feed today.

Quoting it was 10 years since I posted it up, so I owned it longer than that ado.

Amazingly, Prozac has been here almost a year already.

This was a cool little van.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psffhtfwst.jpg

The last few days I have woken up with a bit of a mucky eye.

Yesterday I looked in the mirror, up close and found what I assume to be a little bit of breezeblack from when I carved the Tiki.

Tried to dislodge it with my finger, no success.

Then as I was headed out to a dinner date, thought I would pop in at my GP practice, so someone could just lift it or scratch it out.

They would not even see me at the surgery.

Go to Maidstone hospital if you want to have it dealt with, we and Medway Maritime hospital do not even look at eyes.

I did think WTF ?

So I did not go to hospital, thinking I would find a plan B as I was headed out to meet up and go to dinner.

Got to Pets are Us who have a Vets4Pets and asked if the vet could take a look and just hook the spot of dust out.

Nope........ they are not allowed to touch a human (wonder if they pass someone bleeding profusely whether they just shrug and say "Human" and carry on)

I tried with a cocktail stick later, but it looks like this has become ingrown, so a scalpel or bread knife may be in order.

PS. No, I did not wear the safety glasses I had taken in when I did the carving, not expecting this to happen.

Another little one of life's lessons.

Re: Grizz's Redneck Express 1966 Chevy Short Fleetside RESTO-GO!

It may work its way out on its own .I once went to a Dr for something in my eye that I could not see and my eye was all scratched up. He sent me to a specialist whom could not find anything in my eye either but put me on some special sterioud drops and told me to come back every other day .I waited in hid little room waiting for hours .I was always the last patient he saw no matter if my appointment was before others .I was in misery so I kept going back .The last appointment with him I waited 6 hours and when he came in I was mad as hell and I told him he was fired ,that my time was just as important as his and he had just wasted 6 hours of my time .He told me I had to be supervised on how to come off the eye drops and I told him it would not be by him .
When I got home and cooled off I went to a mirror and finally saw that an eye lash was trapped under my eyelid causing all that pain and it was working out on its own .But you would have thought a specialist Dr would have seen that from the beginning .

All true......

See reply below. ;)

Random as a snow storm in the Sahara.

Finished up early in London then came to Maidstone eye hospital to get this eye seen to in case its a foreign body as its still bothersome.

Ended up being sent to A&E from Eye department.

Waiting time........ 4 hours +

Hey Ho. Good a time as any for random photo update on nothing really.

Seems Harley and Dukey have a new resident slave.

Meet Dave the new lodger.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjckjv6wr.jpg

Dave has a truck.

Dave sells Bobcat equipment

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psgnsx4wey.jpg

Dave liked the fire over the weekend.

So Dave brought random kindling and burning wood.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pswcer3hgb.jpg

Now for the random stuff for those who like random stuff.

When I moved to the UK in 2002 the important stuff included my bike which I eventually sold to a guy in Ireland. Would love to know if it survived.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pstygoofon.jpg

Thailand around 2005 iirc.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps3avpzfpt.jpg

Ladyboy Nurse?

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pskbqee4sv.jpg

Jersey.

A brilliant holiday destination.

I do like all animals.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjb1ga3g7.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pstpityqqd.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psdxwp2a1s.jpg

And my late dad. Not at all a morbid subject.
He was a cool guy.
Loved to challenge convention.
This was around his 70th birthday on our way to dinner.

He believed I was completely mad.

But would have loved the C10 and Prozac as well as the random stuff I get up to.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psoiwuozxe.jpg

Waiting time still 4 hrs.

Are we there yet?

I think being a kid on a long trip with the family is way nicer than waiting on a doc.

Hope it goes well Rian.

Some kool pics too. Nursey boy???? What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand. :D

Sorry the hear that you are still dealing with your eye ball problem.

Waiting is not a fun thing to do. Sitting in a waiting room is worse than hard work.

Praying all goes well and fast for you.
your bro.

Quick update on my eyeball issue.

More importantly to just say publicly that Maidstone hospital and its A&E staff certainly delivered when I was there yesterday.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pshrfeqtvi.jpg

From the admin staff clocking me in and then the Clinical Nurse Specialists who do the triage and prework before a doctor sees you.

Keeping in mind I work in healthcare and am a multi-qualified nurse myself (part of a previous life) so it is easy for me to assess situations and performance in departments.

Once the doctor called me in he had a quick background check and then pulled in an impressive machine, inspecting and then removing the foreign body efficiently. No pain, no blood, no drama.
Antibiotic ointment to use for a few days added and discharged.

Due to their efficient and focussed approach, the offered waiting time was 4 hours.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pscwl5ifwb.jpg

However.......

I was out the car park in under two hours after arriving at the hospital.

So the NHS is working.

And my experience was positive.

Nothing happened in Thailand.

But if it did....... :mm:

Fortunately, I am very patient.

Thank you John.

They did.

Cut up, sorted and packed away all the wood Dave the lodger brought, this morning.

It was a great winters day outside.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psr2ummgdj.jpg

Took a lot up to the firewood box at the house and some into the house.
Keeping in mind that the pallet pine burns mostly fast and reasonably hot.
A lot really is just there as kindling and to support the lumpy logs etc in burning.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psyyxu64uy.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pshcntdubb.jpg

And of course the old man Dukey loves the heat and company as his hips are so knackered and movement restricted to some extent.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psryqgxn2v.jpg

He is very happy and settled.

Glad to hear the eye went well!

Fireplace looks good. Weather in the south has been outrageously cold, for down here, high 20s-low 30s at nite. High 30s' to low 40s in the day. My old body is just not liking it like when I was 18.

Grizz, be careful of build up in your Chimney from that pine. We used to burn wood and my kids brought more of it in when I wasn't around as it was a lot lighter to carry. I had a duct tile chimney so when that caught on fire I didn't have a lot of damage!

You guys have suffered a bit recently with the cold Bill.

Dennis and Don send me daily updates, so it seems chilly to say the least.

Life is good......

Got this from a friend on the Isle of Sheppey last week.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psu4kbpsfs.jpg

Wednesday was my 55th Birthday, and being the grumpy old man that I am, the plan was to sit at home alone and work on preparation for my end of year merit review that was due at 09.00 on Friday.
By Tuesday afternoon though I had proven the back on the preparation and decided to see if my friend who had invited me to dinner which I had declined, was prepared to still feed me on short notice.
Thankfully she put up with my change in plans.

When I got there at 7pm.....

It took me a while before I noticed the balloons and various other decorations in her home for me, as I spent the first 30 minutes playing with her two dogs.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psc5r7tpoe.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pshcvhjbpn.jpg

I was so impressed.

And a 5 course dinner too, plus a cake.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pshwjelm36.jpg

And then she pointed out the prezzie, that I had not noticed.

Come on...!!!!!!!

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psfyhdi3wg.jpg

Back home by 11.00pm as it is a week day.

She is a keen gardener, so I offered to make her a wall decoration from a piece I had made by mate Darren Hardy, at Unit Signs in Sheerness.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psqpz9hnqb.jpg

Wings bent and animated.

Followed by silver, bronze, gold and Lilac paint on them.

The background will be left to rust and actively encouraged chemically.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psfhdhpqbv.jpg

Made up some Lilac paint too.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psgaspxzae.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psowi3edmi.jpg

Job done.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pspl84njsx.jpg

Need to get it to her some time and mount against wall.

I need to get it swept soon, as I only made about 5firws last year.

And I burn anything in here.

Modern vs old technology.......

I am pretty sure that my first cars never needed replacement wiper blades.

And that was in Africa, where there is a lot of sunshine, meaning rubber degenerated fast.

I was going to use Prozac on Saturday, but on starting it up and driving up to the house in the rain, I found the drivers side wiper blade had torn itself up.

So I ordered some off eBay and they were here tonight.

Some supposedly clever German technology.

Job done.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psdnwvwmhr.jpg

Ready for action again.

A belated happy birthday Rian, 55 will be my next one too. My biggest concern is that I move up to the next age bracket on forms and on line applications. from 50-54 to 55-59 :waah: ( that just sounds so much older:lol:) but as I always say it’s better than the alternative. Hope you enjoyed it.

Thank you Ray.

I trust your travels have been safe and speedy.

While the world falls apart all around us, some people seem to always keep others in mind.

Got a text from Gary “Mr Zog” last week, “I found something really cool today, it had to be for you, send me your postal address. Now”

This is his life. http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/inde...topic=190196.0

So I sent the man my address.

Been sick since last Sunday and at home in bed mostly since Thursday.

Today I heard to postman wrestle something through the door.......

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pswh08q5dj.jpg

Noticed it was from Mr Zog and on opening, found this plate.

Some of you know I collect specialised plates.

This one is rather special.

USMC Retired. Colonel Lewis Rann.

Gave it to Gary for my collection.

Random acts of kindness from strangers.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psmxzqsikx.jpg

Dennis sent this over the weekend.

1970 Chevelle hood with some artwork he paid someone to airbrush for him.

Of course he owns the car too, but decided it’s best used in the shop.

I do like that. ..

Happy to have it on my wall.

Also put the butterfly wall hanging in the rear of Prozac, to be delivered sometime.

Rian, we made it to Florida and then ate Dinner with Daughter and Family. But on our way down here my Daughters Step Grandmother passed away. So the Family is heading back to Iowa for Funeral. At least we got to hug the grandkids and see my daughter and her husband. So now heading to Tampa to visit my wife' brother. I really love traveling in my Motorhome.

See report below.......

Answer is Nope.

Week four.....

Some bug has hit me hard, chest infection/flu.

Week two was 7 days of amoxicillin that I thought helped.

Then on Monday a new virus.
Saw a GP Tuesday who said go to bed for the week, including the weekend, plus meds.
In bed since then.
Problem is that I cannot sleep, as soon as I try to lie down, speak or any exercise, like coming upstairs, I have these coughing spasms.
So little sleep in lastthree nights.

This is my happy face.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...pssz7a5vei.jpg

This morning the postman rang the bell, and made me sign for this hand cut and hand made cardboard box.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psjw2bnqdh.jpg

When I opened it, I was truely blown away, and choked up, seriously.

My friend Bryan, “Mr Tiki” had sent me this 1/1 hand made Tiki glass.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psmmg3kbnj.jpg

It is such a close facimile or copy of my face, I was not sure who the real Grizz was.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psnhowum3w.jpg

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...psodr9a7gu.jpg

Just how good can life be we ask.......?

Very good I would say.

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps1j7f2nmp.jpg

Hope to be back at work by next week.
