Just a thought, your fan is not spaced properly to cool. It should be 1/3 in the sroud and 2/3rds out. If it runs hot this may be the reason. Looks great.

Got the lq4 started this weekend. This is a short clip of the first start up. The engine sounds good and has quick revs. Aluminum flywheel and a good tune help the revs. I can't wait to get it on the road but I have a lot of work yet before that happens.

Yea i know. Not sure what im going to do about it just yet. Im not interested in going with electric fans and they dont make spacers. So far what i have found is they do make adapters to go from the threaded style fan to the old bolt style. So, i could get one of those and use my old fan and easily space it however i want with the normal style spacers. So far it seems to be working like it is. Had it idling in the driveway for about a half an hour and it stayed right at 196 the whole time. But, that was like a 50* day. It remains to be seen how it would handle stop and go traffic on a 90* day. Time will tell. Thanks for the complements!

If anyone else is looking to do the same thing, i have the fuel rails for sale. I decided to go with the F.A.S.T. LSXRT intake on mine instead but cant return the rails.

Fuel rails for the Edelbrock intake? If so, yes I am interested in them.

Thanks guys! The headers fit great and Im pleased with them. However the black coating they came with was almost wore off in the box, so I ceramic coated them before putting them on.

I really like the way you did your air box, I'm still up in the air how I will do mine, I'm currently swapping an LS into my 81 K5, so far I have started the mock up process, waiting on some parts to show up, still have to run the harness etc.

Re: LS swappers, post up your pics!!

Hey gents, I have a question....

My 68 has the LS1 in it, and i have been using a Mr. Gasket/Spectre universal throttle cable, since i am using the factory C10 pedal. The only issue is that i have replaced this sucker 3 times already, and it just broke again. I am tired of replacing this with something that will fail again.

What are you all using for your throttle cable??

I know a lot of you guys are running the DBW setup, but this is more directed at the cable swappers

Any Help would be greatly appreciated!!
