Well its not just any Touareg. It has a twin Turbo V10 diesel with right at 670 ft-lbs of torque. Its a BEAST!! As for the Burb, wiring is the name of the game this week. Today was spent coming up with a plan.

If you're gonna get an import, get a diesel!!! I saw a Touareg towing a 26 foot enclosed car trailer up Ute Pass one day (VW race team going up to the Pikes Peak Race) It made me put my tail between my legs  That's the one with no belts, right?

The good-Jon has said he will refund my shipping and I received the part today.
The bad-You have to love the nice gouges in it and they still didn't send me everything! I ordered fittings with this and there are no fittings. I wish I could copy and paste my PM to show you all. Best of luck to anyone ordering from them.

Re: 72 Suburban Build

Wow, did not know a lot of posts were deleted, and I am all for talking about the amazing build going on here by bruin d.
I do not want to ruffle any feathers on the best automotive forum on the internet....but it concerns me that all discouraging comments (albeit I did not see them, and maybe it was warranted) posted were removed, hope it does not have anything to do with the Vendor being a site supporter...

Re: 72 Suburban Build

No ones posts were deleted. The vendor related posts were moved to review and the op was informed. Back on topic.. any other site related questions should be in feedback and announcements or pmd to an admin.

Re: 72 Suburban Build

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...splay.php?f=26 all posts relating to reviews/deals are on the review board. It has nothing to do with them being site vendors. We don't allow vendors to rip people off/create bad deals and then cover it up. I get really ticked every time people accuse me of that. I have dropped more than one vendor whom does not meet our expectations in customer relations/product quality.

Re: 72 Suburban Build

pics?

did you use trailer wiring to wire up the valves? i used speaker wire and im thinking of switching it out with trailer wire and running weatherpack connectors to make it like a plug instead of crimping all the wires to a male/female

that means wiring it up twice!!

Actually Accuair has a pretty nice wiring harness/relay setup that I bought. It made things a little easier.

Also, if you guys are interested in how the Scott's Hotrods situation has turned out, check it out under the review section. The owner (Justin) called me today and we talked for about 40 minutes. He's a good dude.

Kick ass!

Makes me want to go outside and plumb mine. But I'd have to spray "Pam" down first, so I wouldn't stick to the concrete. 110 in the shade by the pool today. I'm happy looking at it from pool side, with a brew in hand!

Happy 4th guys!

are you using the e-level? or setting that up later?

bruin_d 07-02-2011 08:14 PM

Re: 72 Suburban Build

Not using the e-level. Budget wouldn't support it at this time.
