Latest Update:
Going with an attic truss structure. This will simplify the build and allow for a 12ft floor w/8ft collar ties the entire 22ft length...say storage baby! :metal: Trusses arrived today, contractor 'might' work Saturday but most likely walls will be built Monday and trusses placed on Tuesday. All other materials are also on site already, all the decking/roofing/weather tight materials...etc. Any blazer progress? Yes, picked up a 4spd tilt column for it. Thinking it will be easier to install a 4spd shifter on the floor to deal with the 700r tranny. |

Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way
Damn you and Greg for your killer man-spaces. Glad to see you're making progress.
On the shifter...I gotta say the B&M cable shifter I have was super easy to set up. Shifts nice and looks good too. |

Got a link/model number or something? Are there any pics of it installed in your build thread? |

Here's a couple of pics installed in mine: http://www.texas4x4.org/gallery/albu...2299.sized.jpg http://www.texas4x4.org/gallery/albu...2300.sized.jpg The pics aren't recent as I currently don't have a tcase shifter...just a hole in the floor. But I'm working on something cool.... |

I do have a B&M but it's a 3spd version, guess it's going over to the parts section now...
White faced dash I've been saving awhile just for this build. |
Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way
Looks like the same thing I have. Was using it on the TH350 and now the 700r4. There's a pin that needs to be removed on the shifter mechanism to let you ratchet down 1 more notch to work in a 4sp. Then all you need is a new label for the face...$10 or $12, I think.

As of Sunday afternoon...
For reference, that's a 6ft ladder against the wall. Trusses are scheduled to go up on Tuesday. Man-space is almost here. :metal: |
Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way
So that is what clean concrete looks like, hmmm, mine is so covered with gear oil drip marks and spilled motor oil, etc - nice to see that concrete doesn't actually start off looking all stained.
Cool to see the progress! |

Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way
That looks awesome!! You must be pretty damn excited.
I wondered where you'd been this week, haven't seen you lurking much. Now I know...after everyone went home, you probably grabbed a beer and a lawn chair and sat in your new manspace. Or am I the only weird one to do something like that? |
