Those look awesome, did you get the 7" round capsules from CCT or where? Also, do you have a picture of the lights on? I'd just love to see a 67-72 with HID's lol

Hey Jon, the trucks looking good. Quick question, are you missing a washer on the shock? Not sure if I'm seeing it correctly, but looks like there should be a big flat washer on the outside of your shock. Anyways, keep the pics coming.

Rob- I probably am....there's a small washer between the nut and bushing....that's all that came with the KYBs

Yeah, that braided SS is a b!tch to cut thru...I've taped it up and used a Dremel cutoff, tape sorta keeps it from fraying

What I don't get about the kickdown cable being so long is that it's specifically for a 700R4.....what one earth could a 700R4 be mated to that would require and extra foot and a half of cable and shield? Does the 700R4 fit some Allison I don't know about?

I would put one one big enough to cover the rubber bushing. Something like a fender washer should work. Here's a picture.

4WD's have an outer bracket on that shock that "sandwiches" it to the frame...

Ok, this is awsome!
First, you're putting in a full floor. I just bought one at Carlisle and am starting mine.
Second you're a vendor in NJ. I didn't know there was a place I could drive to to get parts.
I was wondering, if I came up to buy a couple of pieces I need, would it be possible to get a close-up look at this truck? I'm pretty much ok with doing my floor but it would be great if I could see a build up close.

been keeping tabs on this site, like to know how the cab coming, like to see how the doors fit after all the floor sheetmetal was replaced, one day i need to buy (2) doors for my truck, keep up the hard work 7pictures coming :metal: :chevy:

I just got the same KYB shock setup from ECE, and all it came with was the lock washers, so that's all I used. Those shocks have a larger sleeve? than the KYB gas-adjusts that were on my truck before, so maybe that's why they don't use a flat washer? I plan on keeping an eye on everything for a bit after I get it all put back together though. I can just see my front suspension falling off after I hit the switches on the bag setup :whine:

Not really. I've been out of the office for a week and I'm waiting on the new fuel tank to do the fuel system next. I may come in tomorrow and drill/grind out half a dozen more rivets to get that out of the way.

I did drill the frame for a bulkhead fitting and ran the rearend vent:

Mike; I put it on there to keep dirt and bugs out. It's stainless steel and they're relatively inexpensive.
