Re: Project: "Full Metal Yellow Jacket" Build Thread
Well looks like we will not be using the tubs from Jegs or Summit.
We will have to make our own out of T-304 Stainless Steel. The T-304 is more expensive because it is made to be more durable and it is a higher quality of stainless steel and is used in equipment that requires more strength and durability like in cars and machines. I keep looking at this bed below: Polished Stainless Steel strips separated by black walnut stringers and stainless steel carriage bolts. http://image.truckinweb.com/f/237052...+bed_floor.jpg |

A little more progress today.
Got the cab on so we can measure, line and true everything up. Gotta do some grinding and then some prepping and paint tomorrow. Trying to get as much done as possible before the car show Saturday. As far as paint and under coating goes..... I always use Rust-Oleum Protective Enamel (or) Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Protective Enamel. Which ever is available mixed with a little bit of gasoline. (Brushed) Both are Durable, corrosion-resistant. Every bit of black paint on my truck is Rust-Oleum Oil Based Enamel. Rust-Oleum (Stops Rust) Protective Enamel is the No. 1 rust-preventive paint available. http://www.rustoleum.com/cbgimages/p...RPreSgbQtL.jpg Rust-Oleum (Professional) High Performance Protective Enamel is ideal for metal surfaces in heavy-duty and commercial environments. http://www.rustoleum.com/cbgimages/p...glsBlkGL_L.jpg More pictures here: Windows Live SkyDrive►Photos►PROJECT ″FULL METAL YELLOW JACKET″ https://skydrive.live.com/?sc=photos...5CFC6D79%21365 |

Well it want be long Kim. Soon you will be chirp'in tires!:burnout: How is the hood coming along? Quote:
Well we use a little bit of gas. The gasoline is being used as a catalyst. Gasoline is a petroleum bi-product which works well with the Oil Based Rust-Oleum. It really works well!:metal: |
