Yes, and yes. It looks like it was hit in the rear pass. side at some point...frame is diamond shaped a bit from the midpoint back, at least from what we quickly saw. The front/rear axles, transfer case/crossmember and cab forward look decent (oh yeah, no hood or grill!). PM me if your interested.

Re: Project '66 Dirtrod: K-30 Extended Cab
Well we haven't gotten much work done lately but we are tossing ideas around on a rear bumper.. What do you guys think?

Re: Project '66 Dirtrod: K-30 Extended Cab
I like it better right side up as in the first pic.
How is the work on the cab coming? |

I'm going opposite the cap
I assume that is your front and is just a mockup, I would do it upside down, narrow it a little to fit the fenders better, and put a l/p-trailer hitch notch on the bottom 1/2. |
Re: Project '66 Dirtrod: K-30 Extended Cab
I don't like it as much on the back as I did the front...........................
Can you punch some holes in a drop style bumper? :D |
Re: Project '66 Dirtrod: K-30 Extended Cab
Incredible! Thanks for taking the time to document it as you go.
I now feel very inadequate! |

Re: Project '66 Dirtrod: K-30 Extended Cab
Cool build, just found it as well. Wish I could have had a project when I wsa coming through school and still at home. I tried and tired but it never panned out. Great skills and detail, all it takes is time and $. I was glad to see that you will shop around to get a deal on parts and wait months to buy them, I do the same thing, just at a slower rate. ;)
