Re: 1987 Chevy Silverado project
I use fiberglass filler over all my welds. Something a body guy in his 80's told me I should do to prevent moisture getting to them. I don't know if it's true, but in 40+ years, he's never had a problem with his work. Just my .02. Very nice truck BTW!!!

well, i drew this one a while back, and still really like it, but may instead of orange, do lime green, or, a tribal flame job, i have been obsessed with flames since i was small, loved hotrods, always drew flames in my spirals books, and recently went into a tribal phase, so why not best of both worlds? its a very rough sketch (to keep you guys from ripping my head off lol) and i kind of like it..

Re: 1987 Chevy Silverado project
I like it!!

Re: 1987 Chevy Silverado project
allways found it hard to get the tongues of the flames right when taping it out on the car
i would rather try my hand at the real flame stuff from mike lavalee (?) realy impressed with that effect seen a orange truck here that was done from the nose to 2/3's of the doors wish looked great and seen another black truck that had some licks come from the front fender across the car to the rear dunno wat i might do if i had the cash to do a profesional job ....... at the moment i got a couple of cans of red and yellow rustoleum sitting on the shelve ready to be mixed intoo orange when i have enough space and finances to build and paint the truck |
