No problems with cooling the cab or the engine. I don't think people in the rear seats would have been vary comfy but I was fine. I watched the vent temps and they ran about 50 in that ambient. I know rear A/C will be a bunch more load but I have a idea for a improved condenser and how I can improve air flow over it if I need it. I don't think I will get to it this summer. Work has really limited how much I work on Old blue but I do get to drive it everyday so it balances out.

Thanks for the update. I'd say that was the ultimate test. 117 WOW thats cookin!

Sway bar kit is still on back order. I have a bunch of other parts but I'm on hold till my 5 lug parts all get in. I will post up stuff soon as I have something to show. :waah:

This will work for the look I want. I hope to have this all done this weekend. I have also been doing a little house cleaning under the hood so I will get some pic's of that up today also.

What did you use to strip the paint off that good. It looks totally brand spanking new!!

Paint was the easy part. The anodized coating took a bit more work. I started with paint stripper for the black. The coating was taken off with oven cleaner and then I hit it with metal polish. It was a bit of work but in all totally worth it in my book.

I just bought I suburban like yours.... kinda.. I think I'll wait till I've had it at the house for about a month and then start a thread. Then people will be all like "wow that guy is really talented, he changed the door lock knobs in the same day he got them!!!!" Just saying :gmc2:

Just saw your a/c set up, best I have ever seen. Now that I see one I like, I may even consider one for my build. But we don't live in the devastating heat you do. 117 degrees is what we bake potatoes at.

Sorry about the late reply.
Life has really been cutting into my hobby time. For the most part I have just been driving it. I did a little update with the transmition pan and swapped
Out the wheels and caps. New tires have raised letters so I thought black rims might set it off

Looks great! Glad to hear you are getting some use out of your 'Burb! I drive mine way more than I work on it. I'd love to do more to her, but time and money seem to be in short supply.

Agreed  Its a Derale pan. I figured a little extra capacity and some extra cooling cant hurt in the AZ summers.

That is probably the strangest pan I have seen.

Sadly I have been making slow progress on the old suburban. I upgraded the tail lights to LED and replaced the exhaust system. I took the lazy path and picked up the Flowmaster system. I only had to make the pipe from the header to the system so it was a quick few hour install. It fit great and sounds how I had hoped.

LED lights make a great improvement. I should have done this a long time ago.

The suburban I sold when I started this project is back on the road and I got the chance to get a few pic’s together. Both suburbans need plenty of work but we have been making great progress.
