Re: 67c10 build
Looks bad ass! Getting my wheels and tires bolted on was a big deal too. Really lit a fire under my azz. Nice score on the tach cluster!!

Had to come check out the pics on my compooper instead of the phone, man that chassis looks great. Can you take some more pics for me to drool over? I was looking real close at the wheels and they do look exactly like my Budniks except I noticed BS has the old style caps, Budnik uses a new sleeker low profile cap. I have one of the old style Budnik caps that looks just like yours but my wheels have the new style like this pic. I wonder if BS has the new caps too. I am still curious if the same shop is making both wheels for BS and Budnik. |
Re: 67c10 build
The bs caPs are nooo fun to get on or off. I was scared I was gonna drop the cap on the lip. They use a little rubber o ring and suction to the wheel.

Re: 67c10 build
I was searching to find an answer on steering stops used with modular spindles and found your build. What did you do for stops? Great work!

Re: 67c10 build
Steering stops?

Re: 67c10 build
The truck has no bump stops. The previous owner decided to take them out because he was trying to bag it

Re: 67c10 build
Yes steering stops. limits the amount that a wheel can turn. Prevents tires from rubbing on inner fenders. They were part of the bump stop bracket. Stock and old school drop spindles heve a bump that ran into that bump stop bracket. You will want something. I'll post a picture soon.

Re: 67c10 build
that wheel never goes out of style IMO. nice choice

Re: 67c10 build
Yeah never Even thought about it. What about lock to lock on a box? Won't that stop the wheels

Re: 67c10 build
I just read up on it a little and it sounds like people go either way. Some cut them off just for more travel or because of bags. I'll run what I have and see how it works (those control arm shafts are a pain in the butt). Good poInt though

Re: 67c10 build
Just meant changing the control arm shafts into those control arms was a pain

Re: 67c10 build
Sorry if someone has already asked but what trailing arms are they?
|
Re: 67c10 build
Early classic enterprises trailing arms and crossmember, you can buy either separate
