And now the truck is at my dad's house in his shop. It will stay till the motor and tranny are pulled from the GTO.

Your Dad has a killer shop!
I like your project, I'll be following. That engine ought to move the truck around nicely.

His shop is so badass! Just had it built this time last year. Some day I hope I can have a shop similar!

Haven't had a chance to start tearing down the GTO yet. My wife's water pump failed on her car this week so the plan is to fix that tomorrow.

But some big news for me is I got a badass natural gas heater for the garage today. This should help keep me in the garage longer! Im pretty excited about it :metal:

Yesterday I was doing the normal craigslist searches. while looking at a add for this yellow truck that comes with some swb stuff I saw the 67 front clip in the background so I called the add and they guy right away said the truck isn't for sale and he wasn't going to part it out. So after we hung up I thought about it for about 20 mins and called the guy back and pretty much said whats it going to take to try and get the front clip from you. He said well let me think about for the night and ill call you tomorrow (today). This afternoon he called me and said that I could come look at it tomorrow and we could discuss it and make sure the paint matches.

From the two pics I have it sure seems like its close!

As for the no marker lights I might just end up adding some if the paint matches as good as it does in the pics.

Since day one the owner wanted a 67/68 patina c10. So this just might be our lucky find.

well the front clip wasn't even close in color. Also the guy failed to tell me that he sanded the passenger fender and half the driver side fender. So the search continues :) or we will just keep what we have.

It's a shame about that front clip! I was about to get real jealous of you, that clip would have went perfect with my cab!
