Just read the whole thing. You have one lucky son. You should be applauded for this build and time spent with your soon. Keep up the good work.

It's not looking good for me but I haven't given up on the motor yet.

I agree that you deserve a pat on the back. I like to see this father/son stuff. I just handed a 73 Plymouth Satellite over to my oldest boy and we're just getting started with it. So far we've rebuilt the front end (steering mostly) and broke the A/C.

Thank you sir! It's been fun! These comments keep us motivated, it's slowed down some since school started, and football keeps him busy during the week, he works at discount tire saturday. So i do some small stuff, but we typically try to get some work done on sundays...

BTW, how did the seatbelt restoration turn out?

The restoration was too pricey at this time. It was close to $300 bucks. I will
have to figure something else out. Maybe I will find my originals someday.

....

Have you decided on this? Which one(s) are you looking at? I need to be looking for one, too....

Re: Project Slo-Go 67

It will either be a Ron Francis, or american autowire. I have a Ron Francis in the '56 and i am very pleased with it.

msgross 10-12-2009 12:40 PM

Re: Project Slo-Go 67

I have been thinking of the american auto wire as well, $800 for the complete original kit though:jdp:

The upgrade kit that they have for $500 is only 69 and up and our e-brake interferes...

Re: Project Slo-Go 67

Are the Painless Wiring kits any good? I need a complete harness for my 69 project.

my67chevytruck 10-12-2009 01:31 PM

Re: Project Slo-Go 67

I have heard good and bad's . but they are just opinions. You may want to check out American Auto Wire (AAC) they should have complete updated wiring harness for your '69

Heath....I hope you don't mind me interjecting....I used the Painless system...the biggest thing with it is you need your old harness to reuse all the connectors....I am a complete rookie when it comes to auto electricity, but I did it without too much trouble at all!!!......I have also read that the AAW one is complete (meaning everything is there)....hope this helps....now back to Project Slo-Go 67 with your star....Heath and son!!!!

still working on the hood, tailgate and fenders. nothig picture worthy at this time. we were able to run the fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump, and from the fuel pump to the intake. I need to order a few parts to make that complete.
