What heater core are you running on this rig. I want heat but dont like the looks of the stock bulky heater core hanging on the firewall.

How did you get the a/c compressor to fit in there? I have a 72 GMC with a 01 6.0 DBC and no such luck making the compressor fit down there.

First off let me say that this truck is PERFECT on so many levels. I love love love the design and execution here. Was hoping for some more details on your a/c compressor bracket. Am I correct that you had to notch the stock bracket for adapter plates? I've heard this discussed a few times but never seen any pictures of it done. Thanks in advance.

I used the ac comp that came with my 6.2, fit no problem, no cutting at all. I used adapters on the lines from "Docs Blocks" but i don`t think they are still in business.

I understand, I realize this was 73'+ but by judging the size of all my connectors on each end of my LSx harness, I dont think I could feed them through a hole that small?

Re: LS swappers, post up your pics!!

thanks I ran them from the inside being careful with all the connectors, it takes time but its not to bad

Here is our inprocess pic's, My son's Red Rover '82 C-10:

Since that picture, we have redone the motor/frame mounts. We are changing the pan to an LSA pan for more clearence. The set up is a5.3/4L60e out of a 2000 GMC. We are using the stock truck front accessories, just going to smooth up the brackets and paint them.

Well done Short-T.
Did you rewire it and do the tuning yourself?

Thanks, so far it sure beats the old 383/700r4.

Harness and tuning done by Speartech. Turn key, so far no problems!

Im really curious to see what your thoughts are on it vs. your old setup.

Re: LS swappers, post up your pics!!

Me too. It seems to start about the same but revving is a lot more responsive so far. It was ok with the efi but if you revved it cold sometimes it would die.

Yeah, I am interested in the performance I am going to get with this setup as well.

The cam is a Comp Cam High Lift XR281HR. Semi aggressive but still should be very street-able.
