Ok here is a very visually small update. I have the door panels getting some embroidery wor done. I installed a Belt harness bar which you can see in red behind the seats. I welded the bar into the cab corners as well as bolted it to the floor behind each seat. All I have left on the interior is the O **** handle on the PS and to get the dash bezel and door switchs painted. Thinking of a red for those as well. I also am going to have interior guy make some skirts for the bucket seats. I got the electric fans mounted up. I do have to take them back out though. It seems that the manufacturer Perma Cool put a oversized retainer clip on the fan blade. They had a recall on these. Anyhow here are a few pics for you guys. Sorry for the delay in updates.

So how is it going? How much trouble have you run into with switching the HVAC stuff? I have yet to start my 88 to 97 dash conversion.

Looks sweet, can't wait to see more. :metal:

Any updates in the last 2 months Phantom?? I was actually searching thru some old threads about building a pole barn and then seen the thread about your lift, which brought me here... I almost forgot about this thread... Whenever I have time and I'm in KY, I'll have to get my way to Louisville and check out ur stepside... Seems there are alot of new members poppin up in KY.

Not a whole lot has been going on. My wife and I are getting a divorce so things have slowed way down. I have done very little to the truck but do plan on keeping it.

Wow, sucks to hear about your wife and you... Hope you'll be happier at least afterwards... If you gotta go... Take the lift with you... hehe. Good luck with it and keep us updated on anything.

E...... Bummer man. Been there & it's a rough road. Hopefully things are civil & the 'damage' is minimal.

PM anytime if you need to vent.

Thanks guys! I can replace material things for sure. The truck I will keep even if I have to pay her half of book which isnt much Im sure. So far she isnt being to civil at all. The lawyer has got into her head already! In the end I will be better off and happier without her.

It happens anytime a damn lawyer gets involved. Been there done that. She had the better lawyer. She had hers and mine. Hopefully everything will work out good for you. Mine got alimony and support. All I had left from a 40 hour work week was $40.00 take home. :whine: Glad to see your getting back on the truck!!! It does the mind good to occuppy it on something other than a divorce.

Hey Guys! Long time no talky! LOL! Life has been up and down for me. Single life sure is diffrent to say the least! I think I have 1 whole update since my last post! SORRY! Had some embroidery work done on the door panels. Gonna recover the grey carpet in black on the lower part of the panel. Pics are crappy cell pics from my TREO. Also gonna paint maybe the trim ring around the door handle and possibly the window switch panel. Anybody have some interior chrome handles?? CHEAP!!

The gauge cluster is killer. I have been looking for someone that has used Autometer gauges and replaced the stock ones. This is the first that I have found. I was wanting to do the same type of replacement in my 92 stepside. Now it is on, I have to do it. Looks great. The rest of the truck looks great too. :metal:

If that was true, then I do not think that ALL of the cars in NASCAR and any current Pro Stock in NHRA would have them in the passenger side of the interior....

Phantom - I love this build, have you got any complete pics on the outside or under the hood?

Hey Phantom,
I was inspired by your thread 2 years ago.I wondered what happened to it.Theres not alot of 88-98 builds around here that I know of besides yours.Several months after I joind the board in 07', I got started on mine. I had saved the photos of your back half work to study before I cut into mine. Good to see your still at it. ~T.

LOL Hey guys. Ive really missed hanging out here. I still have the truck, but the wife is gone. Anyhow I have been mainly doing some wiring lately and have a good buddy of mine that has been helping me out the last few weekends. Since everything in this truck has been rewired in some way or another if has been a slow process. I did get all the wiring under the dash buttoned up and mounted my battery box in the bed. I will get pics up soon. Its good to see that someone missed me. Pics to come!
