It's cleaning up pretty well. Gonna be able to make something of those gravel guards?

Got my marker light lens in the mail Friday.
And got all the rear bumper brackets painted and installed. Also got the bumper and gravel gaurds and plate holder installed. My daughter is still playing with paint colors on the tailgate. |
Nice!
Looking great David. All of it cleaned up very well for you. I didn't know that bumper even that much shine left in it.

You got any other suggestions? |
Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build
I've always used Turtle Wax Chrome Polish and a buffer.

Your project is coming along nicely. I haven't checked in for a while, but I see you keep steaming ahead. I hope to see your rig in person someday. Keep up the good work and hats-off to your daughter for being such a good helper. |
Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build
wow that old bumper does look good. When I first so those brackets I thought oh great its going to look pretty rough. Now I wish mine looked as rough. ;)

Got the turn signal lens installed.
For some of you who haven't taken the assembly out before, I took some pictures. hope it helps out. 1-Assembly in the hood. I released the top clips first then the bottom. 2-Better picture of the clips 3-The housing mounting holes need to be drilled out for the lens from LMC. 4-Insert gasket and use the rivets provided 5-Finished. (New Socket from Tony) |

Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build
Looking good. I love the new to you lenses and emblems mounted.
Are you going to run with the emblems as they are or are you painting them any particular color? I really like them just like they are, but figured might as well ask. ;) |
Re: 4D'S "63" GMC Build

And yeah we are going to keep the color as they are for now. My daughter said she wants the letters on the grill to match the hood emblems. |

I just noticed you got rid of your green cap. I guess you got tired of the green hornet thing.
Are you planning on putting wide whites on your rig? |
