Hi Roger. Do you have any chrome vent windows with clear glass for a '68 ?
I have a set of clear vent windows if that would help. Thanks for your time.

Scott T.

I just sold my last set. I will start on some this week. I'll let you know when I get them done. If you want me to used your glass I can do that to.

Re: Restored Vent Windows

I'll keep my clear vent glass if you have access to others. I may be needing the set I have for the wife's truck in the future. Let me know when you have a set ready and I'll pay pal you the balance. Just let me know the total.
Also, I have a good friend that is in the market for a set for a 69. I will get with him this evening and see if he wants to get hooked up. Thanks Roger.

BTW...pm me when you get a set together. I'll be logging on to the site at least every other day. See ya, Scott T.

Tint or non tint glass is included with the $510.00 selling price.

Shipping via UPS is $29.60 with insurance.

I would replace the door glass channel and the windows felts if they are poor condition. See my friend Ron Manes at www.manestruckparts.com for these items.

Yes I still rebuild them. What parts to you and where did you get them. I've found that some parts do not fit.

Re: Restored Vent Windows

Let me get the parts together, pictures and discuss. I'll PM with the details. Thanks

Re: Restored Vent Windows

Roger,

Since you restore these regularly, you must have a source for the chrome (stainless?) sleeves that cover the upper part of the window channels. Could you either sell me a pair or refer me?

Thanks,
Gene Stephenson

I buy used vent window assemblies and have them rechromed.

From 3 to 4 weeks. The chrome plater takes 2 to 3 weeks this time of year.

I made a mistake and bought oer reproduction vent wing windows and they leak and have a ton of wind noise. Do your restored wing windows have alot of wind noise. I know these windows were never perfect but mine are terrible. Thanks
