Hey James, you are probably right about the 58 not being called a COE. Maybe a Snubnose or Shorty or just Viking, don't really know but I sure dig it...

The Lonestar Roundup always has cars and trucks with great paint work and these 2 golden ones stood out to me. Sorry about the Ford but rumor has it that Gene Winfield, the king of blends and fades, painted it.

Here's a batch of cool trucks from the Roundup. The entry rule is everything has to be 1963 or older to qualify but as with the HAMB they allow a similar body style to register... and we all know that 63 and 66 are sort of similar.

Re: tuba trucks
Would have loved to be at the Roundup.
Of course they are the same.....;) |
Re: tuba trucks

Looking good Clem. I just drove past your shop and thought about the big time last year at the gathering. I hope I can make it again this year.

And the ferd, yeah, I apologize for that one, not giving up our loyalties, just running a business. Its weird... but theres 4 ferds on the property right now. Makes me a little queasy just thinkin' about it. Sir Bomb, speaking of queasy, hope you're feeling better. Get well quick my friend. |
Re: tuba trucks
Saw that pic of 'Tina on FB earlier.
Any idea of time frame and route she will be travelling Clem? |
Re: tuba trucks
Clem,
Did you ever use one of the 3M rubber wheels that you put into a die-grinder to remove the rubber tape & adhesive? It makes child's play out of that job... The one that i used was for high-speed but didn't even mark the paint!!! http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/3...612/10070229-P |

So Pete and I have been busting out this blue and white long bed. Its a factory air, PS PB, big window for a buddy in Austin. Doing a frame up with a few added upgrades... retractable shoulder belts, 700R, 3-4 static drop, front disc and a built '67 327. Were hoping to have it finished early this fall but as my wife Kim is famous for saying, "we'll see what happens". |

When I was over last year , and we went up to see your little stash of C10s, with the rate you are going turning out great trucks ,you'll have to retire soon (oh yeh you did that already ) you might have too restock or you'll have then all done in a year or two . Love the baby blue and white combination. Wish I was coming this year , but you never know I might do 2017 .
