I understand that and patina is always cool!

Fake patina...love it or hate it, at least it maches the rest of the truck.

The fake (sun) bake looks better than most peoples attempt. I will probably do something similar to mine when the time comes...

Looks good

'69 Camaro hood vents. Picked these up at a swap meet yesterday. Had to buy the entire hood, but only used the vents. Anyone need a camaro SS hood with some rust and bondo?? Haha!

When you take this rig out you are going to have so many people scratching their head trying to figure out what all you have done to it ,great build .

Wow incredible build/swap? I just started a swap doing the same thing, except with a 47 ad and a Lincoln aviator. I'm hopeful now! Thanks for sharing!

Finally back at it. A buddy is letting me use his shop (with a lift) so while im waiting on the funds for the engine rebuild, im going to work on all the little details. This weekend i detailed and painted the undercarriage. Dirty work for sure, but it sure is nice to do this standing up rather than on my back!

I remember doing my chassis last year, crawling around really reminded me that I was no longer a skinny kid.

Glad you can get on with other stuff in the mean time.

I am about to restart on my truck.

Are you doing anything special with the engine or just a rebuild?

No, just a normal rebuild. Probably 30 over bore, but thats it. Hell, that thing was plenty fast enough for me when it was down on two cylinders!

Nice! I said it before but I loved your response from a naysayer about you looking at it as an opportunity for success. I've had plenty who said my build would never come to fruition and absolutely loved the look on their face when I first drove by. Then the transfer case went south, found a np149 and is working like a charm. Can't say enough about your build, fantastic job.

Took a few pics tonight. I think i have the cooling system finally bled, so im going to take her out for a test drive tomorrow as long as the weather holds. I also installed the headliner last week while i was waiting on the motor. Its masonite hardboard. It turned out pretty good!

Small update: i spent the last two weeks redoing the under dash wiring to clean things up, made some carpet trim plates and a center console tray. Then I sprayed those in Raptor Liner like the floors. Installed my ipod player stereo. Threw the hood on, got the Vintage Air heat working. Ill get the A/C squared away in a few months. My biggest setback is that im still throwing the Check Engine code P0300 (multiple misfire). Im going to get some time schedule at the local tuning gurus dyno to see if he can better diagnose the issue, as im tires of just blindly throwing parts at this hoping it solves the problem.
