71 is super sweet.

Maybe we should start a thread called "Bomp's Crazy Selfie Thread - for all the winners"

Bomp is the master of the cool selfie on project work but we can all try some.

Well, a bit of light hearted fun tonight.

This hobby has a way of brining out so much good in people

Ta2Don and I often share our trips around America and England with photos, or if we see interesting trucks and cars, via Whatsapp or iPhone messages.

Today he was in Little Rock, Arkansas and I was out looking for a high tensile Allen head bolt for my water pump and also some exhaust manifold bolts as my motor is missing one........ So he saw some of Rochester, and when I got home he shared parts of his trip home, including this selfie......

Interestingly, I was also in a Tuba Trucks T-Shirt. Thanks Clem.

Life certainly is good.

Hey dude, you've been MIA on here for a while.

I figured your work schedule was keeping you off line.

Glad to see you are O.K. and still getting around.

Not related to my truck, but truck stuff nonetheless...:metal:

Today I rode an hour or so north to meet up with Donnie, aka DWCardfan, to pick up a fender... A fellow truck guy needed a fender for a '64 rat he's building and Donnie happened to have one... A quick phone call and a few texts and the deal was done...

Upon arriving at Donnie's work...

Donnie heading back to work...

The fender secured for the ride south...

Tony should have his '64 on the road in a month or so... I will post pics when he shows up... He was quite pleased, especially with the 283 emblem as that's the engine powering his rat...:metal:

While Tony was here collecting the fender, we struck a deal trading a section of my bent frame for an extra cowl extension he has...:bann: I need one for the '60 waiting in the wings...

Thanx Again Donnie...:metal::metal::metal:

Laterz Guyz & Galz!!!:burnout:

Over the course of the previous 6 months, or so, life has really changed for my wife and I... My hands aren't up to the task of holding a tattoo machine 4-6 hours everyday, so I made the decision to get a real job. All joking aside, I was hired on with O'Reilly and truly enjoy it, I also tattoo on a limited basis, and am focusing my attention on building Holy Fire Customz. For now I am extremely busy punching a clock for 40 hours a week and trying to find space for all my clutter from the past 25 years in the Tattoo Biz. I plan on punching a clock for at least another 5 years, then I will be free to put more time into my future truck plans...:metal:

For now, I will be out here randomly and will update as time allows. Thanx Guyz for following along and encouraging me through these changes...:mm:

Don, too bad you have to cut back on tattooing. You're obviously very talented.

On the bright side... you can now collect a paycheque from somebody else, and get an employee discount on C10 parts!

Wishing you the best in your new ventures Don! I can relate a bit. I can barely fathom all the big changes (some good/some crazy) that have happened in my life within the past year & a half. Some are still ongoing. Just gotta continue keeping faith that the Lord knows best & will see us through it all! :bowtie:

Well Don, we speak a lot, and I understand, but you also need to understand that many of us are kind of addicted.... So you may just have to post up random pics of JoJo, visitors etc.

I am always there for you, so FaceTime any time.

Don we've both had to shift gears late in our young lives. It sounds like you've made the right decisions. The talent will never go away but the discount on parts might. Orielly up here stocks tons of parts for our trucks and they are my paint store too. Good people...

Wish you and your lady all the best, and JoJo too.
Post when you can and keep the hands dirty.

Thanx Guyz!!! As you know Rian, I am quite adept at borrowing Taco Bell's WiFi for the FaceTime with you...

Thanks Clem for the encouragement... O'Reilly's is a good company and I am thoroughly enjoying pushing parts... I have also managed to meet more truck folks and continue to advertise this cool place.:metal:

TRUCK TIME!!! :bann:

Had a little time this afternoon to play with the stepper...;)
My son was over for the day, so after taking care od some business closing moving, almost completed, we rolled the truck out into the sun...:uhmk:

First order of business was to install the hood hinges so I could open the hood without help, or threat of damaging the hood by dropping...:sumo:

The boy is all about videos so he shot a couple in the process...

I was discussing how we might set up a puller, idea stolen from Mark up in Washington State, when the boy zipped off into the shed returning with a large box end wrench... He hooked the spring and proceeded to pull...
Okay Class, raise your hands if you have ever had a brilliant idea and once completed, realized, "Maybe I should've put a bit more thought into that?"
Yep, you guessed, once the spring dropped into place... how's the wrench coming off??? :haha::banghead:

After laughing at ourselves, here's the 2cd try...

Here are some shots after the hood install...

Here's the first Video he shot...

Thanks for looking in guys...:mm:
