Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Nice score on the 72, kind of like the wheels, have seen a lot worse..but on that note everyone has their choice and style.
|
Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Thanks. Theyre jus not my style, theyre not bad i dont like the rivots in between the spokes. But the PO gave me original wheels too
|
Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Well sure someone will like the wheel style and more fitting for their build, easy sale for you, so what other wheels do you have, repost when they are on if you get a chance, never to many pic's of nice trucks.:)

1967 C10 Longbed. Unrestored Southwestern farm truck that we picked up to get it safe, running good, and looking a little cooler.
Day we got it https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...33359794_n.jpg After washing the years of filth off it you couldn't see in the above pic https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n...47121392_n.jpg And now a little closer to the ground. A few more mods to do before I am satisfied https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/...70033302_n.jpg |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
My 1969 C/10.
I was looking at my title the other day and I've owned it for going on 20 years already! :ennyd: Yanked out the inline-6/3OTT and dropped in a mildly healthy 350/350 combo. Just ordered some polished stainless rear view mirrors to fill in those screw locations . ...pardon the .38, but I took this pic. for a gun forum and liked it none-the-less. :D ...oh, and that is not my pink house. http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/BRL10/016.jpg http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...image001-3.jpg http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...0/th_011-7.jpg |
Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
At first I thought you carried a gun because of the pink house...no one would say anything about it being pink for sure right. Good looking truck.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
I agree, a few more on the engine and interior would be nice, after all we like trucks and more is better.

Strangely enough I don't have many pictures of my truck... That will change soon, but right now the interior panels are off and the parts distributor forgot to include the mirror gaskets & screws with the mirrors and arms in the shipment. They are sending them out though, and when I get them mounted I'll be sure and post some more pictures. Thanks for the welcome and I'm glad you guys like my little truck! :metal: |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
So I received the screws & gaskets from the nice folks at Classic Chevy... (I'm not the kind of jerk to call and snivel about slight oversights)...but truth-be-known, I really suck at bodywork, and besides, I ended up drinking breakfast, so I'm not about to try patching up the remnants left on the doors from the previous mirrors, nor am I stupid enough to drive this classic Chevy on the public roads in my current condition... :tim:
This really is a great forum for enthusiasts of these terrific trucks! I get back to you with what I hope will be a job I'm satisfied with. http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...0/th_002-3.jpg |
Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
So breakfast turned into leftovers for lunch and I gathered the courage to use JB-Weld to fill in the screw holes. :barn:
Thought that the mirror base perimeter marks were actually cut through the paint, so I sanded the whole area. ...I was wrong. :banghead: Think I'll pick this up again tomorrow and go from there. BTW, when I first bought this truck, the bed was nothing more than some slivers of wood still attached to some severely rusted and chewed up carbon steel bed strips. So rather than spend some $$$ on a bed wood kit, I cut a 3/4" sheet of marine plywood to fit and added some polished strips on the top. Turned out plenty strong and eliminated the need for those metal cross supports, which made a seriously light rear end even lighter... ...ZOOM! :D Wonder what's for dinner. http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...0/th_007-1.jpg http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...L10/th_009.jpg http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...L10/th_015.jpg |

My 72 C20 and it's new bullet before their marriage. The powder coating of the intake didn't come out right but until I determine if it will work on the street in winter I'm not going to change it. The 383 should be somewhere around 400hp.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
My new project. 71 c10. Previous owners wanted a 68 from what I can tell. 68 i6 + front end.

From what I can tell, they swapped out the v8 with a 68 250 and changed the front fenders, grill etc with a 68. It could have been in a wreck. The kid I got the truck from had it for about 8 months, and he really didn't know what he had. He was trying to tell me that it had fuel injection and a glass back exhaust... I dont think he appreciated the look on my face when he told me that. He had the fuel filter installed backwards, the wrong plug wires, ignition switch was just tied to the dash and few other weird things. Currently am trying to figure out an electrical issue, then a shifting issue, but other than that, she runs pretty good. |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
This one needs restoring but I think I've got a good canvas to start with. I've only had it a week so far. I am the second (1987-1989) owner and the fourth (2014-current) owner of the truck. This is the only vehicle I've regretted selling and now, I've finally got it back!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Hey Wade and SHRTBOX70, what year/month/Magazine was the feature in? I've had pics of this truck that I found online saved to my computer for a long time. Didn't know who it belonged to and would like to see more info on it and I couldn't find a build thread.
Thanks |
