Anytime you come through here just give me a shout. I'd love to shoot the bull and maybe show you some cool stuff. I haven't been messing with the old stuff much since last year. I've been back messing with a bunch of LSx stuff. I've traded Josh out of his crew cab project so ice got the truck fever again.

Yes I'm still making concrete everyday. Ive been crazy busy. This rough economy has been good to us. I done a job in Manchester for the railroad a while back. Thought about stoping to see you but it was late and I was always wore out.

Next time you come thru give me a yell.

Re: "Rice Rocket'

POLL:

Should I put my truck back stock height for time being? Or lower the rear a little?

Currently I have a round cut outta my front coils, -2" drop.

My neighbor is in a lifetime restoration of a 68 chevy truck, he is putting new stock coils on it I can probably get the front coils cheap from him.

Should I put my truck back stock height? Or lower the rear with a 1-2" block? My exising U bolts are long enough for at least a 1" block and dad got some huge drill bits at a yard sale for a few bucks from a guy that worked at TVA?

Anyway-Stock height all around? Or 1.5" Rear drop.

Ps I really like some rake (front lower)

drop spindles expensive drop components are outta the question right now due to the cost

Re: "Rice Rocket'

That's some big hail! Means it had strong updraft (bad storm)

You know my response...lower the rear with blocks about 1.5 if you can fit it on the u-bolts...will give you the rake but drop it so it's not a nosedive :D

oldblue1968chevy 10-19-2011 10:47 AM

Re: "Rice Rocket'

:) nosedive

Biggest drill bit we have is 11/16 I believe. Think I can wollow em out to 3/4" or whatever size I need

We got some hail up here in KY last night too. Not nearly as big as that though.
Drop it! I'm like you John. I like the rake, but don't have a lot of extra cash right now, and would like to lower my rear end. I didn't know you could do that in the rear. With blocks? I need a link or pics! My truck is definately too high in the rear!
