I used to Mud race a lot hence the Mud man plate but spent way to much on this truck so not much mud with it either, but fun truck that's good all year round.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
This '51 belongs to my buddy Marcus. His Great Grandfather bought this truck brand new right here in our hometown of Lancaster, CA in 1950! Marc got the truck from his Dad about 5 years ago and it just recently hit the road for the first time in over 3 decades.
This is probably one of the very few trucks you'll see that has been sporting those vintage accessories since it was new (grill guard, visor, etc). It's running a '56 235 with a mild cam, Clifford long tube headers and a small 2bbl on the stock intake. The old Stovebolt is coupled to an even older granny 4. http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps0821e84b.jpg http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...psc754ab9f.jpg Here's a link to him firing it up right before heading to the muffler shop for new pipes and a pair of 18" glasspacks. |
Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Wow, great grandfather? My great grandfather was born in 1829! He must have had some pretty short generations.

Bob o,
Very cool truck and story |
Re: How about some pics of 47-59
[QUOTE=05snopro440;6764957]If his great grandfather was born in 1829 that's an average of 46.25 years between generations being born, those are long generations![/QUOTE
I suppose that if he was the youngest child of a youngest child of a youngest child, and they were all fairly large familys, it would be possible..... |
