Beautiful truck. Do you remember what your tire sizes are? And what components did you use to get the 7" on the front?

265/35/22
and a set of vintage drop shop a-arms which relocated the ball joint in 2-3 inches , this static set up actually works pretty well , be that all the drop is in spring and a-arm and no spindle make for my sub frame to never slap asphalt when those unexpected bumps come around, ive got about an inch on top tire and inner fender, my front bumper stop is my swaybar which works good

The 472 caddy is often overlooked and can make the same power as the 500.

My work and play truck. It's nothing special, just an old farm truck. I chipped concrete out of the tail end of the bed when I first bought it.

Bel Air model, good one. I actually like the grill bars, kinda Christine.:sumo:

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Haha yeah, definitely bel air style. Everything on it was done by the previous owners. I like the plane on the hood, but im not big on the grille bars that they put in.. I plan on leaving the plane and removing the grille bars along with the bowtie emblem on the hood. I'll post more pics tomorrow when I create a thread about my build/restoration

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Is that a Ford bed or just the fenders?

70LongStepper 08-21-2014 11:01 AM

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

It was a 73-79ish Ford flareside short bed that a previous owner had installed and added a wooden/sheet metal box between the bed and cab to use up the extra frame space. It looked terrible and the bed was in awful shape. I took it off an sold it. Then when checking the numbers on the truck I found that it was originally a long stepside rather than a fleetside like I had assumed. Made me happy because they only produced 11,000 something long stepsides vs the 230,000 some long fleetsides in 1970. So eventually ill be dropping the $2000 for an 8ft stepside
