Cut, bent and installed the last piece of brakeline. Will fill and bleed next week. If I get my throttle issue solved I could drive around the block.

Redoing the e-brake cable run, geometry was not right and it was not working. I hate welding on my nice shiney frame....

In addition to that little example of amateur genius, you'll noticeurn loose that the studs are still sticking through the backing ring on the left. That's because they had been welded to the ring. No idea why. Which is why I figured all four should be replaced. And because I wasn't being careful with the sledgehammer, now I need the hubs too. I know we'll be able to find them somewhere, just a matter of making it fit within the budget...

There is a good chance that someone who is swapping to 5 lug hubs or someone going to an independent has good drums and hubs that they will turn loose of reasonably and are close enough so you don't have to pay shipping but just drive a few miles. Tell the wife that you want to take her for a ride but have a stop to make along the way.

Yesterday went about 106 miles round trip to The Koskonog Goat sale. Sold our billy goat and some unwanted roosters. Bought a Regestered Nubian Milk goat. She is pregnant and due to kid in a week or two. A couple of guys tried to buy my Zombie truck. One offered $500?

Today I went and filled the bed with firewood& and then loaded up a LB stepside I had at my other place. I plan on replacing the fleet side with the step side. Pictures of the bed and the goat I hauled yesterday.

Carburetor is in serious need of a trash can and the head lights don't work. Steering feels good and the breaks work.

Figured out I got one wire to the trailer harness wrong, but ran two spare circuits to back so easy fix. 12v power would have been on a circuit only live when the engine is running....

Nothing much
Found out the Air blower works in my '59 but only works on low, the resistor will need replacing eventually.

Tried figuring out why the Right Turn signal and Brake light isn't working.. Assuming its Switch related because of changing fuses out etc

Secured another handful of lines / wires, trying to keep things from melting / rubbing thru / catching fire. Drove it around the block just to see how it went.

Sounds like you are making good progress.

Watch this video and spend $25 on an inexpensive multimeter, will save a LOT of time chasing electrical problems. Then you can see if its the socket, wiring or turn signal switch that is the problem. Also get about 16 feet of 16 ga wire, cut in two and solder aligator clips (one black, one red) on one end of each piece. Wire nut them together you have a jumper, undo them and you have extensions for the multimeter for testing resistance in long circuits.

Very nice. Did you use the wire push-in clips that came with the moulding, and were you able to use any kind of sealer around the clips? Also, Is that door edge guard on the drip rail? I like them both, and yes, I'm a chrome addict, LOL. I have a set of the cab trim but haven't installed it yet.

Got the junction block off the fuel tank under the floor last night- tube on both sides was packed solid with sediment.

Took a bit of work with some wire rod to get through it, and get the last 3-4 gallons of gas out of the tank. Nasty stuff after 13-14 years of sitting.

left it dripping overnight- i'll pulll the tank tonight and hose it out with water and take a peek inside- see if its going to be useable or not.

Pulled the battery, looks like it was brand new the year it was parked- attempted to charge it but only get 7.5 volts out of it (12volt battery) so its got some bad cells i guess. Not a big surprise, but was hoping it might be useable.

Hoping to go pickup my "new" 1bbl carb (off a running 67 elcamino 6 cyl) this week.

A few steps closer to trying to wake this thing up from its slumber!

So far, I've got my OBD-2 connector wired in. In a few I'll head to the store for yet more bolts & finish tying down all the brake / fuel lines.

Looks good JJ, but you've GOTTA get some "JJ red oxide" on those.

I don't know much about Cameo's but are the tailgate, spare cover, etc parts available reproduced or will you have to go on a scavenger hunt for those used....someplace?

PS: Is it the angle of the photos or do the rear rims need more positive offset now with the bit wider wheel wells? Still looks great though.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

That looks great, I love Cameo's. I'm glad you got them.

I check CL every day and saw those but decided I wasn't ready for that upgrade.
