Re: What did you do to your truck today?
That's really cool Lakeroadster, I've always been interested by the CAD programs. If you don't mind my asking, where did you get your cab vents from? I've read about that instal a time or two on here and would like to do that to my own truck, but have no luck finding any. I'm not even sure what to look for exactly.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I haven't drove my truck in about a month but I've been smelling a strong turpentine odor everytime I've walked by it. Finally did some investigating last week and discovered the gas tank has started leaking again. Multiple leaks all along the bottom. I pulled it today (thank goodness there was only two gallons of gas in it) and removed all the hardware and the new fuel sending unit.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
messed around with the 63,bolted most of the front clip on and took drivers side fender and door down to bare metal and put a coat of primer on them,i also put the wheels and tires that came with my 65 on the 63, still dont know if i want to sell it part it out or keep it yet. it needs alot of body work and i have minimal exp. but i figure i can use this to practice on tell i make up my mind . guess you got to start some where!! heres some pics

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Went and bought a new power steering pump to replace the salvage yard leaking one...connected it up bled the system and got the truck started for the first time in months. I am so thrilled to have power steering, I just need to put it on the ground to try it out. I need to fix my welds on the steering column because I have never welded before other than high school a long long time ago. I need to start the suspension now.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I mocked up an old Big Block that I had laying around.......The tubular mounts worked out fine. I used a set of BBC Hooker headers for a 69 Camaro, they fit very nice. Now I'll send the headers off and have them hot jet coated.

Here are two pics and a video...the crank pully looks like it may be wobbling just a little bit. I guess I should have stood in one spot. *shrug*
