My vacations are mostly at my cabin....my favorite place in the world.

I'm mainly what they call a homebody too. I wouldn't mind having a getaway place near a lake but I'll just have to be happy to take my camper to a campground a couple times a year. ;)

I'm lucky that the cabin came up when it did. I was a little intoxicated and my check book had enough to cover the check.....:lol::lol: OK...a lot intoxicated.

I'm in Florida this week with my other daughter, and I have all the grandchildren here. I much prefer the hills and mountains. Besides every tourist in the world is here it seems.

When we were driving through Arizona near Winslow I had my wife turn on some Eagles music. Of course we had to start it off with “Take It Easy”.
I got a feeling if we ever go to Florida we will be listening to some Jimmy Buffet.;)

My 14 year old grandaughter rode with me to the Rockies. She mostly listened to her crap on ear buds, but she did listen to some good music on Sirius with me. One song came on (I don't remember which one) and she said "That's not the original version.". I said "yes it is. look on the screen, it says 1964". She looked it up on her phone and showed me it was originally cut in 1961 by a group I have never head of.
And all this time I thought she wasn't paying attention.
She must be practicing to be a wife.

We listened to some good music on the beach, thanks to my kids digital whatchamacallit.

Man my bed felt good aunty Em.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

My vacation at Carlisle was nice. First class accommodations in the White Suburban Suite with air enhanced bedding and 360 deg. full view windows. But it sure felt good to get back home.

Saturday evening four of us walked over to the Fairgrounds Diner for a proper dinner. Nice summer evening after the thunderstorm that rolled through that afternoon. About done eating someone asked "Who owns the red pickup? Your windows are down and it started raining". Shame about that guys windows, but we all looked at each other to say "Wish I had a window to roll up!" It rained pretty hard, we waited under an overhang, let up some, and we walked back in the wet. All was good. It wasn't miserable and I had dry clothes back at the suite. But I did leave my windows down . Good thing it was a straight down rain!

Tim we had a bad storm Saturday eve in shippensburg. Heavy sideways rain and wind. I had just ran out to the suburban and my phone went with a weather alert. I moved my truck to under the car port at the hotel lobby. Funny how you got straight rain and 20 minutes away we had a deluge with pea sized hail and 40 mile plus wind gusts.
