Heres mine. I got this for free from my father in law. 52,000 original miles. Runs great!

77 C20.

I put dual flowmasters on it when I got it.
I'm going to put a 700r4 in it soon and then lower it. After the tranny swap and lowering the suspension I'm going to put the FAST EZ-EFI in it.

What type of wheels suggestions do you guys have? I'm thinking 20's but they are kind of hard to find in the 8 lug.

Its a good looking truck, keep it that way!

Your father in law has has kept it all original for 35 years (assuming he is the original owner) then he passes it down to you and you want to lower it to the ground and put big ugly wheels on it. Most people would take that as a slap in the face. My .02c is put some chevy mirrors back on it, swap in a 700r4, 4L80E or NV4500 to help offset fuel prices and drive it the way it is.

Amen brother. big ass wheels on vehicles that they dont belong on are going to look like bell bottoms and leisure suits in hindsight. just because its a new idea, don't make it a good idea... there are 73-87 trucks that look good lowered with '20s, just not two-tone, LWB 3/4 tons.

Add some beauty rings to the dog bowls or get some '88 up ralleys with caps and rings and run it!

Those are actually Mazda B series truck tail lights, I recognize them right down to the reflector in the one with the missing lens. Probably grafted on to legalize them in countries where an amber signal is required.

Hello everyone im new to this but can anybody help me out on this. I got a 87 chevy c10 longbed, i wanna lower it about 3/4 on some 22 inch wheels, what would be the cheapest best way to lower the right way no cutting, i was thinking either shock, springs and rear shackels+hanger or spinddles in front, what would be better is there a difference between using spindles or just putting lowering coils on front.

Stock springs in the rear, with just the main leafs replaced. It's actually squatting very little considering this truck spent the last 30 years with 2500lbs of water, pumps, and gear in the bed at all times (the reason the main leafs were replaced, one was broken in half when I bought the truck), and in this picture has about 1200lbs in the bed between the ATV, ramps, extra gas, coolers, tools, etc. plus the boat and is parked on unlevel ground, though the overloads were not even touching the pads on the frame when I hooked it up.

When unloaded the front fenders have almost a 2" larger gap than the rear, but the body line is perfectly level, which is how I wanted it to sit. The fender openings are about 2" lower on the body in the rear than the front. The front does have 4" lift springs. The rear has 2.5 or 3" blocks that were on the truck as long as I can remember, I guess the department added those to keep the rear from sagging too much when it was loaded down.

My '77 Scottsdale. My dad (original owner) had an auto body person re-do a lot of the exterior sheet metal about 15 years ago. The truck came into my possession about 7 years ago and honestly I haven't really done anything with it. I've finally decided to start going through it and am currently re-doing the entire brake system. Also added Cragar wheels and BFGs to replace some badly cracked tires.
