The guy that bought it asked if 3,300 miles was a misprint. More like 33,000? Nope. That car didn't see a lot of daylight. It bugged me. I didn't want the car. I already had one. My ex was just a nut. She did things like that. Here's my latest. My sweetie bought it for me only because I mentioned that I had one as as a kid. Now I have 2 orange Baja Bugs that don't run. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...m/Cox_Baja.jpg |

The Camaro had 20,648 miles. It was my daily driver for the first 2 years, with an '06 Dodge 1500 for winter. The car got parked in the garage every fall and didn't see daylight again until it was nice for a few weeks in a row. I would wait for a few spring rain cycles to rinse the salt away, before it hit the road. Then I had a heart attack, which got me more active with a bicycle. After the 3rd summer of the Camaro's time was spent with me commuting by bike, so it sat. I was actually starting to worry about it getting damaged from sitting (mice building nests or whatever) so it was already on my mind. Then when I got the letter from GM corporate saying that some of the car's features were "Sun-downing", put the final nail in its coffin. Essentially the 2G phone platform is going away. This would take away its communications abilities, which would also disable the remote start. Ah, yeah....no. I decided to get out of it while it was still worth something and since the market is goofy at the same time. Getting almost 75% of what I paid when it was new 8 years later? For a car that isn't a Corvette, Ferrari, collector car of some sort? Ok, sign me up. |

I don't particularly like raccoon's. They're cute and all but I've run into some mean ones. Really mean ones. I don't like skunks, possums, or the woman across the street either. |

That's funny, I was just watching the ending of the first Resident Evil movie where Alice gets out and ends up in Racoon City.
It's been years since I had seen it. |

Went for a drive yesterday. Anyone recognize this from a popular TV show awhile back?
We were going to have lunch at the Brick but chose another neat place, we thought. Service was horrible (food good) they wanted to comp us our lunch. We told them no. Our waiter was new and we didn’t want him having lose it out of his tips or something. We heard the lady who looked to be in charge sort of whisper to him … They paid , he looked relieved |
Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
Neat sign, but I do not remember the show.

Here's my Raccon story. Sorry no picture though. - Well, my day didn't start out too good this morning. I have been having trouble with Raccoons around here so I trap them in the live trap and re-locate them a long ways away. I went out to check the trap early this morning and lo and behold, there to greet me is a Skunk..... I got on the internet and looked up information on how to deal with it. One seemingly knowledgeable guy said to hold an old blanket up in front of you, walk up to the trap and lay the blanket over the trap. That way he won't be able to see you and it will be dark in there and the Skunk will feel safe. Then you pick the blanket and trap up and place it in the back of your vehicle. Take it to where you want to release it and put the opening of the trap up against some weeds so when the skunk comes out he can go straight into the weeds. It was a little hairy trying to get the door of the trap open and hold the blanket in place. When I finally got the door open he didn't come out. I'm standing there in this uncomfortable position saying "Come out of there you little sucker". I finally see a black nose poking out and hoping it will go into the weeds and not around the side of the trap. I move the door a little bit and he scurried straight ahead into the weeds. I stood still until I could see the weeds moving further down the embankment. I put the trap back into the back of the Dually, wiped the sweat off of my brow, and headed back home. LockDoc . |

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
I had to look that same information up. A year or two ago I spotted a skunk at dusk back near the screenhouse where it is bushy. Nope, it was two. Oh no, better do something before we have a family. Nope, too late! Three little ones come scampering along following mom & dad under the screenhouse. What now? How do you get five at once? I pondered, considered blocking them from getting under there, never did anything. Never saw them again. It was the neighbor's trash situation that draws them. He and I talked about different things to try, all for me to do as if the skunks were only "my" problem.
A couple months ago my neighbor asks, "Been smelling skunk any?". I had noticed a faint smell, wondered if my new neighbor smoked weed, or maybe him. Then he goes on to tell me how the skunks have been over there all along, making it sound like they aren't a problem, like they adopted them. He says his wife has been feeding the babies. Awww... Isn't that cute? NO! They need to find a better place to live. I need to skunk-proof |

I had an appointment one morning last week and I decided to spend the rest of the day along the Potomac River on the C&O Canal at Taylor's Landing. I had looked at buying a house there, then decided against. I really like that spot and wish I could buy one of the few placed down there. The two cabins side by side, it's the one on the right. If I could have bought both I'd be living there. That's the canal bed the bridge crosses and I'm standing on the tow path
Attachment 2207100 This is where they built a culvert along the canal for a creek to run under it and into the river. It also served as a bridge, creek way down there on one side and canal on the other Attachment 2207101 Attachment 2207102 A water pump along the tow path near a camping area |

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
I had a skunk around here. I never saw him but I sure smelled him. They are stinkier than my Aunt Martha's toilet. And that's pretty stinky.
I was concerned because my dog would go ballistic and I didn't want him to get sprayed. Nobody wants that. I was glad when it went away. |
Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
My wolfdog killed a skunk in our backyard one night several years ago. No idea how he did it but there was almost no smell. Poor lil stinker looked like it was just taking a nap.
