Here's my addition! A daily-driver '72 C-10 Cheyenne Shortbed with a 402ci engine. Original dash, instrument cluster. SPID shows plaid bench seats; do you think I should replace the buckets to go with the original look? How rare were plaid seats in the C-10? Value?

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
way cool!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Love the buckets, just adds the extra to it.

Shortbed Highlanders are few and far between and "as original" this would look great. The "Custom Two-Tone" code 557 is also a rare find in itself. Take a look at my thread on "Hidden Highlanders" as your is. If you want a complete breakout of the SPID back to stock I'd be glad to help upon request. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...0&goto=newpost |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Thanks SS Tim for the insight. So do I have a Cheyenne with "Highlander" Options (A, B, & C) since i've got the power steering, chrome window trim, etc? Were both these options even possible?
Also, the color combo has both greens. How would that combo looked on the original truck? Dark Olive along the strip or on the body? Anyone got any pics of that two-tone pattern (dark & medium olive)? |

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=635040 Your truck was never a factory Cheyenne. It was built as a Custom Deluxe (Z62). It also had the Highlander Plaid cloth trim upgrade to Z62 which changed the trim colors and added black carpet. Some trucks had the Highlander Promo Packages (YG6,7 or 8), yours is not one. They simply bundled common options for cost savings but included the Highlander trim upgrade as part of the Promo Packages. Custom Deluxe included the chromed window trims and your truck was ordered with a chromed front bumper upgrade (without any rear bumper). The paint scheme is called "Custom Two-Tone". It is defined by the 557 paint code as a Dark Olive (506) body color truck with a Medium Olive (504) roof. Here is a picture showing the colors and application to a IIRC 70 CST/10. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=630462 |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
This was my son's first vehicle bought for him by his grandfather, my dad, 16 years ago.
It's just about to go to body/paint, so I am in the middle of deconstruction. Hope to have it back on the road sooner than later. http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...psa2eb0388.jpg http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1c27f916.jpg |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Our 1967 C10 LWB. Originally a 250 truck, but it has been rather terribly swapped over to a 283 before 1980 according to the title. This 283 is well worn and smokes out of both sides of the exhaust whenever it's running. Originally a 3 on the tree, but somebody put in a 3 speed floorshift and only used ONE bolt to attach it to the engine. Key? We don't need no key...
