2275mi in 11 days started Oct 17 Day 8.5 Got the truck as close to the open ocean as I could, probably a few feet too close as we almost got stuck in the soft sand. Attachment 1848270 Attachment 1848271 Attachment 1848272 |

North Carolina trip 2018
2275mi in 11 days started Oct 17 Day 9 On our was to West Virginia we crossed the Bay bridge. Starts near sea level and gets up to 200' in the air. We stopped at Prospect peak where 3 states come together. Gus decided it was his turn to drive, sorry bud your only 7mths old. We where almost at our campground and this guy started waving frantically out his window and we stopped in the middle of the road, why? because he collects 1954 GMC's. He said what are the chances I see a GMC. Within 5 min of talking he and his GF invited us for dinner at there place. So we said yes we set up camp and a few hours later we went out for dinner. 2275mi in 11 days started Oct 17 Day 10 Sorry it was the next day we went for dinner with them. First off the road/ driveway we took to get to there place was not what you call lower'd truck friendly. From the bottom of there driveway we went up 1000' This is a few of the GMC's we found at there place. He had about 13 all GMC's most where big trucks and most would run. I was in heaven. I tried to buy one he said not right now, but we have each others numbers. They where super nice and could have talked with them for days. Re: My 52 GMC Build
he's hoarding. You'd be about the best candidate for one of those trucks. He should sell you one. cool driveway but that would get old real quick.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Looks like a great trip and an amazing meet up with the GMC guy. You're probably lucky you didn't scrape off any parts on the way up that driveway!

North Carolina trip 2018
2275mi in 11 days started Oct 17 Day 11 Started out raining, not that big of a deal just light rain. Got under way after breakfast planing to meet up with Henry (99 to life) We took the Pennsylvania turn pike wow there are some elevation changes on that highway. And then Disaster struck our 7mth old puppy started getting sick, out both ends repeatedly. poor guy didn't know what way was up. After multiple stops we had to cancel with 99 Sorry Henry we where so looking forward to seeing you again. He kept getting sick for most of the 10 hrs in the truck. When we where 20 min from home we hit a snow storm, lucky it didn't last long. It rained the whole way home, but made it home safe and sound. Why did I buy white rims again? This is the only damage after a road gator got spit in front of us. Hope you all enjoyed the journey. Thanks for following along we have a lot of fun with this old truck.
