Not a dumb question at all. I was going to run the wires through that piece but I found if I drilled a new hole and ran the wires across the radiator support all the wires would be hidden behind the hood latch panel. I did end up running a couple of ground wire through there.

Well I’m finally getting this thing to look like a something. I got the complete dog house install, along with the headlights and turn signals, and an engine cover (I think it’s temporary until I have time to fab something). I also started wet sanding the fenders.

The bed is not painted yet. It will be the last thing I do. The doors are not on either. I will try to get the doors painted and installed over the holidays.

If you like the combination now it should look much better after I finish color sanding that is with 1000 grit taking away the shine.

Don't be jealous (well the truck is green.lol) get to work and get even. The headlights are 7 Inch H4 Fluted Headlights with clear turn signals with a amber bulb. I got them from Speedway Motor but I seen them for sale at other places.

The wifey said the truck was way too loud.lol She will be in it with me and I want her comfortable so I had to compromise. I installed new mufflers. The were cheap but got good reviews. So for the price I tried them. They are Jones Exhaust Max Air Flows.

Bam, the engine compartment is nice and clean, looks super, even with the stock cover. New mufflers sound good...Jim

I've been following this build for a while and is part of the reason i ended up getting a 59 fleetside =)

You do incredible work! I'd love to see this one day, I'm in culver city, maybe when I get mine running we can have a meetup

Whats up my Culver City Southern Cal homeboy. I drive through Culver City everyday on my way to work at Santa Monica College. Thanks for all the compliments and I'm sure we will meet up soon. They also have another one at Lowes in Hawthrone every other Sunday at 1 pm. Just some place to go once you get the truck running or even if you don't have it running you can go look at some rides.

Sounds good i'll be doing the same thing, I want mine to be QUIET you know lul them into a false sense of "oh hes got nothing " then open up the cut outs!

I believe in having working parking brakes but I wanted a electric parking brake, but I was not willing to pay 400 bucks for one so I fabricated my own.

I have this wired when the parking brake is on the little (P) stays lit.
