Truck is lookin good! the trim looks nice. I agree the rear needs to be lower. how much water gets in around your tank fill with the grommet missing?;)

Re: The Blue Goose

Thanks!

I dont really have the extra money for a 2" drop block kit, but I have enough thread on the U bolts for a 1" drop block, but debating if 1" will really make that much difference for the trouble it will take.

Something like 2-3 inches would be perfect, but I dont wanna sacrifice towing/hauling abilities.

If money allowed id do a dropped spindle and 4" spring. For time being I'll keep saving for a drop blocks/u bolts (Around 70). And be on the lookout for some metal to make a block(s) out of.

Ha, I welded the gas hole up, then went back to in cab tank, i think its kinda cool. I wished I could find a halfway decent cab to work on in spare time (mines too far gone I think, windshield, floors/supports, and cowl is all rotten).

I know what you mean about extra money, sometimes seems like theres no such thing:lol:. and no need to spend much time on a cab thats not worth saving, but it's lookin good anyway. keep it up! I like the name change too.

usmcchevy is right. There should be a small junction block on your passenger fender by the battery,
you can see the rust outline where it use to be. Nab one at the JY the next time you visit.

Re: The Blue Goose

because you dont have a gas neck filler grommey...

oldblue1968chevy 12-01-2011 11:11 PM

Re: The Blue Goose

Ricky, my ebrake and passenger side area (where the ebrake would be if there was one for brittany) gets soaked in a heavy rain, leaks somewere in the cowl, if water comes thru the gas filler it just goes thru the hole in the floor/missing floor support (literally)

Leavin for FL in the AM, taking sis laptop so i be checkin in down there sitting at mcdonalds on the gulf eatin hamburger and borrowin there wifi

Well guys after 3 days and no truck forum I started loosing it so I went across the street from where im staying and went to the library to pick up wifi my lil sis let me take her laptop so i can stay updated with facebook and on here :)

hopefully sometime this week im going to a 'big truck' repair place to inquire about some custom made u bolts to lower the rear of my truck...

ricky/hubscrub I think I have my measurements right (they wouldnt let me take my u bolt off my axle on the air plane lol) I might ask a favor of you and go out and look on your truck for measurements? :)

Hubsrub-I'll try not to bother you if its snowing in Tn I miss the country though this huge city is nice cause EVERYTHING is RIGHT here, but its full of people etc, and the weather is wonderful!
