Funny you should mention those wheels. My original plan was to get rid of the duals but those wheels have single handly convinced me to keep them

Ah .... the wheels. I've been searching for a spare for a year now. Nothing turns up on the used market for some reason. I've got them on my crew.

As for the fuel ... I've added a 50 gal. auxlry. fuel tank to my bed. I guess that's why it sits in the driveway so much.

I'm looking into have them polished up right now... there is a shop here in town with an automatic polishing machine that do semi rims... and they come out GOOD!!

I suspect my spare tire is just a steel rim (yah i still have the original spare) I just haven't crawled under neath yet

Surprising how a truck from 89 can have nicer rims then todays trucks...

I got my truck out of so. cal & the wheels were already polished!!! They do look good that way.

Good luck with the rig ... it'll be interesting I'm sure. Keep us posted.

hey thats the paint job i wont on my truck its a 87 cc cac dually but i wana two tone it with flat black and put the old duce and a half or jeep military tires on it lol byis ply that autta be fun

It's a 88 1 ton chevy with a built marine 6.5 turbo diesel pushing just under 400hp before it blew up, th400 ,np205, 11.5" of lift in the rear 9.5" of lift up front Dana 60 up front 14 bolt ff in the rear the tires are 39.5" iroks on 20,s the Interior is 1991 suburban buckets in the front and rear than I added pw,pl. I'm getting ready to do a cummins swap on this truck soon and ill try to find my build pics but I never intended this truck to be what it is now so I didn't do a good job documenting.

Here's a picture of my 1988 Air National Guard 6.2 Diesel pickup, 4.10 axle ratio. It's a great truck. You have to love the military stencil on the dash!

I am driving it now, to work, building supply yard, the dump, flea market etc. No long trips. On the 88, it drives nice, although geared low. My previous M1008 was just geared too low for daily use. On this one, I need to fix some minor rust, and paint at least the bed.

I sometimes get a bit of a rumble feeling when decelerating, so I might have a bad u-joint somewhere? I'll have to look into that before it gets too cold for driveway wrenching. H.

Here is my 1984 Chevy SRW Crew as it was waiting for a cummins tansplant this summer the body is all original. It has 2005 siverado seats and late model wheels going to get paint soon will try to get pictures of it since it got put back together

ya there direct bolt on 19's
