Sorry didn't think of that. I was thinking more of a trade, What have you got that doesn't fit your build. Mine is 2wd now, and close to getting it running. Trying to figure out evaporator can hook up,and pcv valve vents from 327.

Got to spend a little more time on the fuel lines.....found out that it was better to clamp a wrench in the vice, using two wrenches at once tends to wobble, and will nick the coating on fitting and stand out like a sore thumb

Used oversized washer head SS bolts to hold the wheel cylinders on, you can get them in the correct size, but bigger has to be better, right?

Ok,came up with a proper bracket for my fuel filter.....bracket was alittle big, so i had to pad it out alittle, fits snug

What's the reason for mounting the fuel filter along the frame and not near the carb in the engine bay?

Thanks tully, my engine bay is packed with EFI hardware, and electronics. Since i am running a tpi, just seemed simpler to mount it in an easy access spot along a fuel line. I am using a camero fuel rail, so my lines dump out on the drivers side. Plus, when it comes time to change it, wont have to worry about making a mess in my engine bay

Your welcome Jim. My desktop took a leave of absence and work has been scarce lately so it just sits waiting to be fixed.. The only time I have access anymore is when I can catch one of my kids NOT using their laptop. I put a stop to my wife's overseas travels because of the increased dangers. Ed, i think ill take you up on that offer.....since i have a backup, im going to try and modify my filler neck to accommadate that 5/16" i lowered the tank

Makes sense regarding the placement of the filter. I've noticed these trucks can be a pain to work on, mine has a 6" lift(soon to be 3") and to get access to the bay can be a challenge. I'll have to remember that location if I ever have to re-work the lines.

Thats whats nice about a four inch lift, hop on your creeper and slide right under your truck.

OK, here is my new thought process.....
If i remove the tank neck mounting flange, the fill tube should be able to slide out more, making up the distance i lost dropping the tank down.

Problem with that is, i cant find out what is holding flange to tube, its not solder, b/c ive heated it way up and it didnt move. Next possibility is two spot welds i think i see. Next chance i get to work on truck, ill explore that option....

YOU CAN STOP ME AT ANY TIME, if you have a more viable solution

AS A SAFETY SIDE NOTE, i want to bring something to your attention when using tools.
When trying to cut a SS wire the tip of my favorite diagonal cutters went flying somewhere in the workshop
Please wear safety glasses at all times, couldve put my eye out
