Re: The Blue Goose

Love my new stance guys.

Just a tad lower than stock, Im happy. Probably looks stock to most but just not as high.

2/2 drop (cut 1 coil, 2" drop block). I have 2 sets of U bolts (1" or 1/2" drop block U bolt, OR can be used as a stock u bolt replacement)

And a set of (I think would've worked 2" U bolts, or 1 1/2", or probably 1")

I'll sell em cheap. The longer ones are BRAND new lmk if your interested i got more pix/better descriptions.

Pix after I shower-took 2.5 hrs from start to finish (putting tools up etc). Also have a cool thing me and dads building (HD roll around workbench with vice and a few bench grinders with wire brushes/cut off wheels/grinding rocks etc (if you wanna make a big f'n mess or put something in a vice and grind on it without showering the rest of the shop with sparks and metal dust.

Cant wait to post pix lol. Also went junkyarding today-failure, no 67-72's but some nice slot wheels and a few squarebodies (one had a real nice HD 2" reece hitch but didnt know if it would fit our trucks and didnt feel like taking it off lo0l

Re: The Blue Goose

Longterm plans:

Fix ALL the rust/make the inside cozy warm and no holes LOL

Fix ALL the oil leaks and probably do a cam swap (xe268/roller cam)

Posi

Make it a swb if I can find a frame

new wheels (if i go swb some tt2 or the boss wheels that are similar)f

Maybe get it painted, but I think if i make it too nice i wouldnt wanna drive it

Get all the 68 trim on.

If I go with 'big' wheels (way down the road) i'll loose the spotlight. (This is all WAY longterm lol).

Also, while Im wishing, I wanna house paid for with a big shop lol

Hey John the truck has been coming along very nicely. You have accomplished alot of work on the old girl. Congratulations on keeping the old girl on the road and giving her new life.

"Fix ALL the rust/make the inside cozy warm and no holes LOL"

Years ago I had done a cab swap b/c my other cab had some major rust along the top of the cab/ driprail area and kick panels/ floor area. I remember how cold it would get inside of the cab during winter even though the heater was on. It was kinda funny because all of the layers of clothing you would have to wear just to be somewhat comfy. I allways felt bad for my girlfriend at the time b/c she likely would have froze to death in that old cab.

Just keep plugging away at the old girl. You will get her where you want her to be someday.

John, I got it up for $600 right now I think. Come on up and get it, and I'll give ya a deal! I'll throw in what's left of the bed and cab! It'll need wheels/tires. The ones on it right now I think I got sold.
