Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Clean! You don't see that style Civic around here anymore and if you do they are completely beat down and rotten

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
I'm a chevy truck guy through and through, but my favorite movies I think are still fast and furious (guilty little pleasure). I think the imports can be pretty badass, but Coulter you nailed it, there is something about fab vs bolt-on that just appeals to me more. That, and a 1961 chev is what it is and expectations are already set. A 2003 anything is still a trend or fad. What I may like on it today, may strike me as ugly next year. my opinion at least.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
sweet build, if you haven't redone your door panels yet, use some contact cement, you can get it from a tim supply shop or its the same thing from Home Depot, the product used to install formica, for counter tops, yellow in color. you can spray it through your primer gun.. You might want to scap the old material, if you used a spray can adhesive. Hope that helps. Truck looks super nice.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
what size shocks did you use for the hood? thats cool, i may steal that idea from you if i dont make my brackets to make my hood tilt forward!!
|
Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Go to a junkyard and grab a set of early 90's LeSabre hood hinges. Should save you a little extra fab. Seen one on here a while back and it didn't look too difficult to do, even for the fab challenged like myself.
|
Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
i did awhile back, i got two sets to make them wider, now i just need to make some brackets that will bolt them to my inner fenders
|
Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
nice work on the hood props!dig the fender wells

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
thanx for the comments guys.. the shocks are 22 inches long.. not really sure how much weight they are rated for... a buddy of mine had them laying around so he gave them to me

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Looks great. I've enjoyed reading your build over the last couple of weeks. I'm all caught up now. You've done a awesome job. It's great to see the originality of what you've come up with. Hard to keep it this fresh when thousands of others are building the same trucks. Love the photography and the garage as well.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8165/7...1558bba8_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8422/7...14974aa7_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8423/7...2aa5f57a_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7128/7...41d7800f_b.jpg here it is with it all the way down... u can see there isnt much of an angle http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7134/7...8c1f5879_b.jpg here it is bout 3/4 of the way up.. way too much angle... im gonna end up with a lil bit bigger spacer and move the mounts up on my drop blocks to fix this... just ran out of time http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8007/7...12fe1b50_b.jpg here it is at ride height... i want the sway bar to be pretty much straight when its at ride height http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7248/7...1f06f1f1_b.jpg all the way down http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7115/7...108f867a_b.jpg here it is again at ride height http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8429/7...8eeabd2a_b.jpg still more work to do on it but its almost done |
