Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Thanks everyone.
I'd rather not say who painted it the first time. However, Street Rods by Auto Art in Phoenix, AZ is the shop that fixed it. |
Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Really nice build inside and out. Quick question, did you design the interior or did you leave it up to the shop? Interior is all I am lacking on my suburban and not sure whether to have a rendering done or rely on an interior shop....

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Jeremy had a goodtime talking to you at the One N Done. Your work speaks for it self. The Audi wagon you brought was Sik. Thanks for letting us check it out!!!

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Jeremy, are you bringing it to Brothers?
There are a bunch of guys from your neck of the woods coming. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=577044 |
Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Darnell, Good meeting you as well. I met a lot of cool guys there that day and it was a really cool event.
I will not be bringing it to any shows that I know of. As soon as it's done, it's headed back to its owner in Dallas, TX. I also have a prior engagement that date as well. |
Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
As far as the interior design went. I had an idea of what I and the owner wanted. I had a quick sketch done up by Surface-dvd.com, but the interior fabricator and I changed it up quite a bit. I'd say it's helpful, but not 100% necessary to have a rendering done of the interior.

Very cool man, great to hang with ya this weekend.

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
9 months later and the end of the bad luck of paint shops and interior shops is finally over! A couple little things to tie up and this thing will get shipped out. Unfortunately, I won't have time to get to it for about 3 weeks.

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Getting some more work done on the roadster. Hoping to finally finish this thing up in the next week or so.
I made a hood release lock by using heims on each end of an aluminum tube. One end bolts to a tab I made that attaches to the release, the other end locks via a pad lock through another tab bolted to the frame. The lock sits just above the front roll pan. http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps374a896f.jpg http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l...psf2a23f39.jpg http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps0b8382c6.jpg Got the AC lines made and installed http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l...psb830d6f5.jpg Made a custom emblem that lights up http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps0ae999e8.jpg |
Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Will you have it at SEMA?
|
Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Not unless someone is gonna pay me to bring it there. This is a customer vehicle, and it's not worth the headache for me to bring it unless I'm getting paid.
|
Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Can you get to the lock when it's laid out?
|
Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Not sure, but that'd be another security bonus.
|
Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
what if the battery dies?

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
They're not under the hood. They're hidden behind the rear quarter interior panels.

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Welp, the 3 year project is finally gone. There was still some things I wanted to get done, but the owner was too impatient and wanted the truck back now. They're all minor things and he will get them done I'm sure. I drove it only a few miles, but it was far enough to get to a decent photo shoot spot. http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l...psa29370b1.jpg
The rest of the pics will have to wait till the magazine runs. Thanks for all your comments and praises throughout the process. I'm great full to the owner for giving me the chance to build the truck, but I'm also happy to be done with it. Hopefully I'll get some funds to work on the 83 Chevy I started a while back for another customer and can keep that thread updated. I also just picked up a personal truck for myself which I plan to build next year ('49 3100). |
Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
Amazing work.
I enjoy your build threads! |
Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project
