Re: My Daughters First Truck
The black and green kinda make a nice 2 tone. Any info on that new fender? Was it a decent fit or did you have to modify it a bunch?

Re: My Daughters First Truck
Sorry it took so long to reply. it was real easy. let me try to remember.you get rid of the old transmission and fly wheel. remove the old mounting plate. we made a new mounting plate install the new fly wheel make sure you pop out the bushing where the spline goes on the engine. install the new tranny. we left the old radiator and put a cooler in front of it and ran our lines in the frame. added a brass nipple to the carb for vacuum. measured our drive shaft and had it cut down. hope this helps I'm sure I missed something but it was real easy.

I noticed the thread started in 2011, How old is Darrah, now??? The awesome part is the relationship you have built with your child, many parents are clueless. A parent only gets one shot at doing it right!!! You get an A+ from me!!! I really like the 60-66's. Just plain old work'n man's pickup! Leaving the old wood can have it's advantages. You can use the pickup for what it was intended...w/o worrying about scratches, etc... |
