well I'm only 5 foot 6, i used part of the original seat bracket, for the forward and backward, i made a frame out of some 1/4 inch steel and hacked off the forward and backward section on the new seats to drop them down a couple inches, the up and down motors still work along with the lumbar, i know a guy that stands almost six foot fits in there pretty good, the only thing i dont like is my steering wheel is stock, so its pretty big i dont get to pull it down like i like to but its not even a problem, and comfortable anyways, eventually going to swap out the wheel and column for aftermarket

I'm running a 99-02 style steering wheel which is smaller in diameter I think and only 5'10" so I think it would work for me. Get us any more pics? Please?

Pics helped. I ran into a set of those seats for cheap and passed them up b/c every one was like got to chop floor pans and move gas tanks. So I passed on them and started looking for another type of seats. The search is back on!!

Nice :)

Can you put some pics of just how it looks in there from different angles? Not like how you mounted it just like more pics of how they sit in there, how far forward, distance to steering wheel... et cetera.

Yeah it does look tight with that big ole steering wheel!! Looks great though, us normal/shorter guys dont need that much crazy room. I think it looks great!

thanks man, its not that tight really, just not a lot of room for adjustment, but way more comfortable than the ol bench seat

Re: 5.3 swap build so far

so a little update on my build, i went to do the front gears a couple weeks ago, pretty much lost motivation, but had the front tires off and ready to work on, a few days ago i started again...holy crap my P/S spindle was a PINTA to get off...finally got it off and have both the axle shafts out and ready to start my gears (well in a couple weeks when i get off the road again) have to get these gears in for winter posi in the rear without 4 high would be just a bit too much fun

so I'm finally getting to my knock sensors, got them in, got a new intake gasket, having trouble getting the intake back on, it won't line up, is there a trick to this?

Huh? No trick that I know of. Just kinda angle it and plop it on. I have heard of these plastic intakes getting warped. Put a level on the runners and see how it looks.

You may be hitting something keeping you from going all the way back so you can set it down.

Well, alots changed, dont know if any of ya are still here, but I moved to tn, in the process of moving the oil pump stopped and the block seized up, so I pulled motor and bored and stroked it to a 383, I'm in the process of putting it back in...kinda hard remembering where everything goes, but taking it nice and slow
