Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
Hey here's my '89 chevy chyenne pickup longbed STD cab. The pics are kinda old so a lot of stuff is revamped, especially the interior.
(It's a 2500 but the guy that originally ordered it at the dealership made them customize it and make it a 1 ton. I think he did this for lower registration costs or something, but nonetheless it's a 1 ton that looks like a 3/4 ton.) http://memimage.cardomain.com/member...417_2_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/member...417_3_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/member...417_7_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/member...417_6_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/member...417_4_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/member...417_5_full.jpg |

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
That's hot! How does it ride? I'm always impressed when they can lay frame, but wonder if it effects the ride. Thanks for sharing the pic.

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
I like your rear bumper. Any idea how I'd go about ordering one like it? My wife's Tahoe has the chrome on with the side trim. I've removed all the side trim and put a smoothie front chrome bumper, but can't find a rear one like your's. When I tried to pull the rear trim I found it wasn't glued, but has plastic tabs that are attached to the holes in the bumper side. If I got one like your's, I'd send it to chrome, and call it good. Sweet score on the W/T!

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
Here`s my`92 K3500.I ordered it as an SLE 6.5TD,5spd,4.10s,off road/towing/camper pkgs...the works. It has a light beige vinyl bucket seat interior and I got them to let me order this fleet color,Woodland Green.I`m sure it`s the only truck with the same specs. This is when it was brand new.I had just gotten the windows tinted and had already de-badged it some. That`s the paper tag:
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ks55/007_7.jpg This is my work truck in my contracting business,so I set it up like this soon after that 1st picture. This picture was taken in`01 @ 205,000 mi: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...s55/011_11.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...s55/010_10.jpg I started doing work needing less cargo and more tool hauling,so I put this work top on it in`04: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...s55/024_24.jpg It has been a real workhorse for me,8/07: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...5/IMG_0161.jpg Last month I did some spring work (swapped spring packs with less worked and 1/2 the milage packs) and went over it for the winter coming.I hope she can keep me rollin`a few more years or five. |

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
I used the 85 pond pull solenoid kit from aim industries,85 bucks but the auto lock kit is better, solenoids are supposed to last longer . I would would also suggest running an emergency cable from the latch out the bottom of the door ,it can be tucked under the weather strip and pulled out with a wire if necessary.I have keyless entry locks so no one could ever just find it and break in plus if you locate your fuse for the solenoids under the hood and it blows or your battery goes dead you always have a way in.the kits all wire about the same once you figure it out can be installed in about 2 hours good luck.

here are some pics of my '94 ext. cab. just bought it in august with 102,000 miles on it and it is a super clean truck for iowa... it already had the rollup tonneu cover, nerf bars, and bug shield on it...so far i have put the 96-98 breakaway mirrors, flex-a-lite clutchless fan, rims, and custom 3"(same as factory just custom bent) with a super 40 series flowmaster muffler on it...changing the muffler gave better mileage, more power, and a better tone to it...a little quieter than what i was going for but thats okay...
