haha glad you like that picture of my truck, it only took me 3 duallys and 2 suburbans to get all the parts i wanted/needed
Don't feel bad- I'm right there with ya! I'm three trucks and a Suburban into mine so far, and I still need to source a drivers side fender with enough metal left to mount an inner fender, or I won't be able to drive it this winter!

Welcome to the boards! Don't remember the truck, but it looks awesome. There was another crew cab short bed for sale in Duncan not too long ago.

Thanks. It was on the cover of Street Trucks in the August of 2005 issue but I had sold it by then.

Yeah...that other crew cab belongs to a buddy of mine...it has a TPI 350 and 700r4. Could be a nice truck.

On a side note, I just picked up an 87 extended cab that I will get started on next spring as soon as I finish my Tahoe.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Nice. Those extended cabs are making quite the buzz right now. Would be nice to see a nice one here in the Oklahoma area. Make sure and start a build thread in the Projects and Builds section so we can follow the progress of it.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

When I bought it, it was a REAL cab & chassis... meaning- all I got was the cab and the chassis. :haha: ALot happened, and to make a long story short, I found myself without wheels, driving the wife's Cavalier. So, I kept the front from a Suburban I was scrapping and the bed from a truck I was also scrapping, parts from a few others... and bam! One ugly truck.

She does have the engine from my big crew project, so when you lift the hood, the clean motor kinda looks out of place. I have to finish wiring it and convert the tanks back to carb pickups, then she's ready to roll. The cab has surprisingly little rust other than the doors, so I'll replace those junk body parts as I go. I sure do like the ugly girl though.

[QUOTE=joe231;3545981]why did you sell??? :confused:

I had made a business decision that did not work out and needed to get liquid. Fortunately, I do not get attached to vehicles like some people do...they made a few million and I would like to try a bunch of em. ;)

Uni-Body...no. The cab and the bed welded and smoothed out...Yes. uni-bodys have NO frame under them, that truck still does meaning its not a unibody. im not hating, just have years of collision work under my belt and picky about that stuff. who ever built that truck did an amazing job.

Ford used to have a truck in the 60's that they called a unibody. I think it had a frame under it, but the bed and cab were together. That may be where he was getting the lingo from.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

That's true- I looked at a Ford Unibody pickup at the Ducktail show- cab and bed are one piece and it has a full frame under it. Woulda bought it if I had the space to put it.
