Thanks gringo , I just noticed your last edit . I'm still racking my brain on this thing and really don't want to spend a bunch of fab and paint time on something temporary . I studied it some more this evening, and realized there is no visible frame on the Teas seat , it's all covered in leather. I think I'll try something where the switch panel just slides out from under the seat on the drivers side .

Some more progress to speak of ! Hood and cowl came back from paint shop and were installed this past weekend. Air ride system is complete. I've still got to replace the door seals so we can do a final panel alignment. Who's got seals that are close to the same thickness as the GM seals.

Hey Keith , sorry for the delay ! The last month has been so busy trying to get this thing finished, I really neglected this thread . I'll have to back up in the thread and see where I left off. Currently the truck is complete minus the bed . When I raised the bed floor , I had never sectioned the inner bed panels to make the body lines line up with the ones on the wheel tubs . That is now done but they are sitting in slick sand at the moment . I actually pulled the plug on getting this thing down to CTC in two weeks. Ill just bring the Nova instead . Just not enough time to get her complete . We were going to bring it with a fresh coat of black epoxy on the bed but I'll just wait till its complete before bringing it out . I'll update first chance i get ! :chevy:

Sorry guys ! ive got a few pics now.

I really liked Mike's (67cheby) lower control arm washers from Michigan Metal Works. Liked them so much that i jumped on the lathe and whipped up a set for my arms. Polished them up and then powdercoated them clear. Looks much better IMO.

Wiring done ! (except for the rear taillights, since the bed is not installed yet.
Nonetheless, we have lights. Also a shot of the hood letters courtesy of Trim Parts.

Thanks ! Here's a piece that i actually wasted time on. When time and cash were running a little low, i decided to control the bags with paddle valves and then just do the Accuair later. This is the console for the valves that i came up with. Now that the truck wont make the deadline, i'll be pulling this out and going with the original plans. Pic may not show it but it actually comes from under the seat the turns upward.Paddle valves and gauges are from Boris (way2lo2)
Also showing the vacuum pump for the power brakes. Still need to find a place to mount it. Its a CVR unit that will pull 20 in. On demand setup that will kick in anytime engine vac falls below 12 in.

Many thanks guys for the encouraging words . I'd especially like to thank a great personal friend, Kevin Morgan with Ronnie's Classic Rods in Nachitoches LA, for helping get this truck where it is today . Both in completition of the body and paint work that was remaining and the paint issues that showed up from the previous painter . We're going to go enjoy a week long of hot rods and classic cars at Cruisin the Coast then we'll get back on it and wrap this project up . I'm ready to drive the wheels off this thing ! :chevy:

Yep Kevin (65streetcruiser) is the man when it comes to body and paint. (Even though he will never admit it) You couldn't have had a more suited person painting it, with his love for these old trucks. (Especially a '68) Nice work y'all! Now get that thing finished, I want to see it in print!

Thanks Adam ! The aluminum radiator is by Entropy. It's a 2 row with 1.0" tubes Its the same one thats been discussed in detail on this site. The cooling fans are 11" Spal HP's with a total of 3000cfm. Im not sure of the brand on the catch can, it's a stainless unit that i bought at a show somewhere. Hardlines are 1/4" stainless that i bent myself.
