It looks like were going to have to split the rear fenders and widen them about and 3/4 to an inch wider to get the tires to fit under the fenders .. :banghead::drama: any way i'm going to use the old fenders and cut spacers frome them and have and extra set of steps to match the mod also .
another step back wards but hey that s part of the fun just more money ..

went and stoped by the shop tonite to see how they are wrer doing on the spacing of the fenders . they are about an 1 5/8's wider now over stock
and still in side the cab body line so there not sticking out . its going to be hard to tell unless they know what there looking for :metal::chevy:
had to do some slide mods to the fender to match up . but when finished i
hope it won't be noticable

Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time

I've thought of doing mine that way, but I also like the way Lakeroadster did his. He just widened the whole box.

Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time

Thanks.
Widening the bed or fenders is something I want to do.
I like how simple Lakeroadster made it look widening just the bed; http://image.hotrod.com/f/Lakeroadst...c10-swb-ss.jpg
But I like the beefy look of your wider fenders.

not raining tomarrow nite it is coming home :metal::chevy: and just added about 2 inches to the step brace at the end and redrilled the holes for the steps .
